Is this very useful for Singularity-related research? There's a generally open-atmosphere (with Opencog spun off from Novamente), and realization of the stakes involved.
The "D" stands for "Darwin"--isn't that cute. Little jokes to distract you from your dear Singularity that won't happen soon enough. You won't be standing out there with the D200 in a warzone--will you? Poor baby. Look--you're getting ignored! Aww...too bad little baby. Keep denying the singuarity, little baby. Stop crying!
2015? 2030? Trouble is, you can't bet on it. Sorta like predicting a black-hole swallowing the Earth. You can, however, plan on it. The years before it becomes can be made better (although nothing compared to the time after) just by predictions.
Who cares about history majors...now scientists?

In the march to the Singularity, we don't need history majors writing papers or Baseball players hitting homeruns. We need science. A neuroscientist taking a cognitive-enhancing drug is a direct example of recursive, exponential growth to the Singularity. Keep it coming.
Is that a Singularity researcher?

For "Transcendent Man", overwhelming Singularity-related ethical concerns means it has to be "pirated". This, not so much.
Going to see this soon. How does it address the Singularity?
Tell me how it relates to the Singularity? Maybe then I'll give a good review. Only the Singularity matters.
Go watch more Jon Stewart. It's easier than helping the Singularity along. Or keep crying that it's not hear yet.

Ray Kurzweil may be right. Sorry if that upsets your worldview.
It doesn't really matter "what I've got". It's not up to you or me. I'm sorry if that hurts in your heart.
This should be postponed until the Singularity. Warp drive is fairly complicated, and could use a post-singularity intelligence. It's coming.
What does this have to do with the Singularity?
You could be wrong.
It's not up to you (or Jon Stewart).

Only 3 out of 5 stars. Well, if I like it, I guess I can tip you with a Slashdot subscription.
Substitute "yourself" for "you". Do you say "Wash you? No. "Wash yourself".
If you needed work, I don't think you would consider yourself "rabid". They are doing what they have to do.
Why bother with anything else at this point?
There's someone who's implanting a camera to replace a glass eye. With the singularity and associated transhumanism, this will get more complicated.
How was Bolt 3D? My wife went on a ridiculous tantrum and we went home instead of seeing it.
In all seriousness, I'd rather take my chances with computer viruses.
Getting there might be, though.
Same way you don't businesses catering to gay marriage--big money usually has religious hangups.
To reply to this post, or when you took Provigil?
