There is an easier way to do that, and that is allowing custom streams to be created.

Right now, your primary stream is basically all your circle streams into one big feed.

I want to see the option to create custom streams (of say Group X and Group Y) as well as the ability to choose a default stream to show when you first go to it.

This way, you could create a custom stream of friends / family / work, and set that as your primary stream... then go over to your goonsquad / reddit custom feed and see whats being posted in that group.

(And I can thank them for my invite!)

Of course, when you get invited by a goon, you can expect that you will be added to a bunch of people's circles quite quickly.

I went from maybe 5-10 goons in a circle to something like 400 now, and I don't see the goon rush stopping anytime soon.

True, but his idea has merit.

Take it to the extreme, what if you were able to get all 435 members replaced in a single voting year?* What would that tell all the new people in the House? What happens if they all get replaced AGAIN the next election year as well?

Assuming that both parties are identical, regardless of what they say or do (or have the same puppet masters), what do you think would start going through their heads if the replacement rate across all of Congress doubles in one term? Two Terms? Three Terms? How many cycles before we start seeing people up for election that aren't corrupt or aren't as easily entrenched into the current status quo?

This would probably cause a LOT more pain for both parties, as they can't control it at all... There is no "3rd party" for them to try and squash. You also would have the numbers on your side as well. Instead of having to get X people voting for a new party, you just need X - (# of people already voting for the other guy) to get the change to occur.

I mean, they do have to understand that if they allow the government to do this, it basically cuts out the Judiciary branch in regards to oversight. Why not just regulate the hell out of selling pets?

Spend some money in research, and find out how and what you should regulate? Maybe instead of keeping newly born cats / dogs in a 2'x2'x2' cage, you are required to have 25sqft per kitten, 50sqft per puppy, etc. Shared environments are ideal, as it helps foster an environment where the animal is in a group setting (try adopting a 3yr old cat that has never seen another cat or animal its entire life).

Toss in some regulations about food, water, etc.

Basically take the incentive away from the the "pet factories" but still allow the caring breeders to continue doing what they love.
