Hey, it's your leaders that are agreeing to this shit. Put the blame on their shoulders ... they could have said "no".

If you had any idea as to how the EU Officials get into office you wouldnt have posted that half ass comment.

Most European citizens do not even get to vote for country officials or representatives. Most EU Officials or governing body positions are appointed positions, from either voted politicians , or other appointed politicians.

In some EU Countries citizens are not even allowed to vote on most EU policies and laws.

On the other hand, with the outsourcing the student gets experience in a valuable business skill instead of spending a bunch of time doing something he'll never have use for after college.

While I can see your point in most of what you said , that last part is just BS. How can outsourcing someone writing some code if I would be learning to become a programmer be something I will never use?

And secondly what business skills ? look on website , hire outsource coder, log into paypal transfer cash, get code , turn in coursework.

I agree, and because of stuff like this going it is ruining the IT world and IT job market. You get these young 'professionals' who think they know everything but when shit hits the fan they don't know jack.

I remember when you went to get a degree in computer sciences it was because you were interested in the field ,now must 'students' are just seeing $$ signs.

Yeah but still back in the 80's if I bought a Cassette Tape and then 'dubbed' a copy and gave it to a friend no one really gave a shit. It was more like "hey cool man thanks for the new metal album 'rock on'". Noone ever came and threatened to take away my Tape Recorder, or better yet after the third time I would have done it, I would be _blacklisted_ from buying a new one. Blacklisted from what ? Walking into a electronics store ? My picture hanging on every shop window across the country ? So say if this does go through , whats to stop people from getting fake ID's or making faking orders for a online service under a different name ? I'm sure it would stop most people but for others its just another loophole to jump through.

I agree , although for most windows users if you want (free) privacy you have to install X number of programs for gpg e.g. I think for the common user this is to much of not only a hassle but a technical burden gpg for example.

    1.Install gpg4win
    2. Thunderbird (or equivilent free email client)
3.) Extensions for email ( case Thunderbird)
    4.) make keys
5.) configure programs, get other users pub key etc etc.

This is to much for normal Joe by step 3 or 4 the normal Joe has given up.
If this would be automised or somehow integrated into a email client , I think we would see email encryption more widely used. Although through the automation process problems can arise, security hole here , and their, because all these process's have to be linked automated etc. etc

Whereas with a nix distro, most users are tech orientated, after adding the correct repos or (with some distros these things are even default installed gpg for e.g.) then the only thing left is to configure, which really is pretty painless to the tech user who knows what hes doing in the first place.
