If deek is correct and they were never actively participating (this was also my understanding), it's likely they never received a copy of the blacklist.

A threshold for piracy? I doubt it, unless you count 'free'. Even then, free things will turn up on torrents because some people prefer that distribution method.

  3. Re:Shadow Minister on National Censorship Plan Offensive, Says Aussie Shadow Minister · · Score: 3, Informative

A shadow minister is a member of the opposition (the party that didn't win in our two-party system) who follows the actions of the elected minister (from the party that won). Generally they just criticise everything the actual minister does to try and make them look bad.

There's no real good reason to not let users update their own user space firmware with whatever they want other than the simple reasons of DRM and user-control.

Only if you don't consider the cost of developing and supporting such possibilities.

The GPS isn't logging the speed, or if it is it's as secondary, calculated data. I would assume (else I can't imagine this ever got him off) that they used the location data over time points. If you're here at point x at time a, and point y at time b, you were going (y-x)/(b-a) miles per hour.

If you read the article, the expert witness (from the GPS company) states that the device gives instantaneous speeds - not averaged over a distance as you claim.
