for some reason i think you haven't ever REALLY played an MMORPG because they don't save anything onto YOUR computer is all on their severs where information on where you got the code for super weapon X or not. if you go over to your friends computer than also has WoW, WAR, CoX, Eve, or any other MMORPG for that matter the only thing that doesn't follow are your MODs, hell even key-bindings normally transfer from computer to computer in MMORPG's.
Games that don't connect to the internet are being releases less and less often, so in reality its more. how long will the company that put out this game support me for and less of when is my computer going to crash and completely kill this awesome weap i got from a code
commentin' on sum onez bad spelling is a waste a time and this post doubly so. People like this that spin the bad news because they NEVER get any good news *cough*Republicans*cough*.
Oh and i hope this post DROVE you to commit suicide plz
There is a reason there called anonymous... that's because they'll never be found. Sarah Palin is a lair and her methods are no different from the rest of the republicans. Democrats do it too but they only are ever after sex, the republicans greedy ways will be there downfall.
I'd rather have some inappropriate fornicators running the government that just don't care instead of the greedy lobbyists that run it now.
i would just love the day when i can just go to an MS website click a link download windows and be installing it when in minutes with out spending a dime.
it could happen and very like will here's how:
Microsoft has its fingers is A-LOT of things (X box, Zune, Internet Services) just cut one of them off: Windows, windows should be open source just the OS that way with proper guidance from the whole things like security bug ans flaws in the code will be ironed out in no time.
its other applications could be rolled into its internet services (see google docs). and then Windows would be separate from MS and, MS could go about making money and forget about the OS market which is too unstable and Unwieldy. they like to say that they'll support there software LOL yea right if your pay extra and that ISN'T support support wouldn't be needed if there wouldn't be problems with your software and there wouldn't be problems if every one could just look at it and fix it.
Also if JUST windows the OS and only the OS was made open source they could say goodbye to the Department of Justice for good and there anti-trust lawsuit woes would be over. Its kinda hard to have a monopoly when your not REALLY making money from it. (donations wouldn't count, but heck they probably wouldn't get one for awhile as many peeps as they have pissed off heh) Also pirates would become a non-issue when your just giving away your stuff for free they won't be pirates any more.
I have one requests of Sam Ramji PLEASE make this world a better place and make your life much easier by spinning off the Windows OS into an open source organization, please.
P.S. There is a reason why Firefox stomps IE and That's because WE made it good - Windows can be good too if you let us (the end users) make it that way
Things like this aren't really that spectacular until v3 or v5. Once they have most of the bugs and kinks worked out from people using it and telling them, what sucks so much and just getting feedback in general will allow the later versions to greatly appeal to the regular Joe PC gamer or even Console gamers.
This being the first release of a completely new consumer category i really didn't expect much. More than likely we'll see other company's following through with there own brain wave scanner things, i think I've seen another on You-tube.
Any ways only buy this if you really really want to try out the latest and greatest... otherwise wait till next year or something, there probably be another model out with A-lot better spec's or even rewritten software (hopefully open-source cus that shit kicks ass).
WINE shouldn't really release like a label or logo for games of some type that would allow buyers of some games to know that said game would play on an alternative platform than windows like Linux with WINE of course. that way it could help get the word out to regular people that yes many of the applications that you pay hundreds of dollars for can run on an open platform. you could do it through the website and the developers of other applications and games could include links to their apps being supported and links to bug fixes and stuff.
There is only one thing holding back Linux from being used more wide-spread.
Gamers, the Linux community just doesn't care for them. But that is wrong, just wrong. Gamers are the reason why computers are the way they are nowadays, without good games to play on our electronic devices I guarantee that computers wouldn't be a big as they are today, and that's something that Linux has always failed to do bring us top-shelf gaming
having open source graphic drivers would be nice but i don't think that is the true problem for games on Linux
there true enemy that needs to be defeated before Linux even has a chance at becoming mainstream:
Games for Windows
The fug-tards at Microsoft pay off every last PC game maker to put their dirty label on everything even the damn game reviews have that garbage label on it for god sakes.
They do it because they know no one else stands a chance in the PC gaming market. Stop them please stop Microsoft and there proprietary-ness. Defeat games for windows and Linux will be main stream, because freedom and openness shouldn't be a standard just for big iron. Theirs little guys like me that would love nothing other than to give windows the old heave-ho but can't because where all locked down in a homeostasis environment.
Also running in an emulated environment just doesn't cut it - it could be possible but WINE just can't do it for some games. Normally the games that don't run are the most proprietary ones sadly but there's still room for them in the sphere that is Linux. Help make a home for gamers where there not locked and bogged down by corporate greed. crack Games for Windows and please dear god make "Games for Linux" a reality
Now the real question is will people be able to make real income off these clones as many have and failed in Second Life?
