    Agreed we both know that a stealthed solution wouldn't be ideal but bear in mind I was suggesting the path i think our government would have taken. Not what i believed the most reasonable course of action is, those two things rarely line up

    this isn't affecting the migration just dispersing the floc from a beach/park there is no shortage of available space on the river or bay for them to move on too, they just hang out there because people leave stuff for them to eat, if anything this is beneficial to the birds also to keep them a little further away from the public

    Your a bunch of pussies 1. the asteroid sizes they're talking about would have no significant affect in any failure scenario, well perhaps if it actually HIT the ISS or a satellite but thats not likely. The size of asteroids they want to mine would almost entirely burn up in the atmosphere if it did miss and enter earth.

    This is the exact thing we need to be doing we cant exist on earth forever, even if we had 0 environmental impact as a race the planet would eventually expire. Exploiting extra-planetary resources and colonizing space are the most important goals that could ever exist for us as a race. Only those things can provide us a chance at keeping the human race alive in perpetuity

    i agree, it seems almost silly right now, but at the same time it is incredibly clever in a way. It makes me happy to see this kind of innovation even though it may not immediately fill a role in my home its encouraging to see people thinking so differently from what we see every day in the tech industry

    The simplest way would be if connection is lost to the access point you manually enabled it resorts back to gps and default behaviors

    sometimes it works, if the apps smart enough it would turn wifi on when you get to your yard or entrance perhaps, have an option to enable wifi when gps is unavailable if you want.

    there are solutions

    i dont find gps to be much of a battery issue, but i'm one of those guys that remembers to charge his phone every night when he goes to bed

    But i think the only real solution is to boycott any information services from a company with an american presence. since it doesn't fucking matter what you do if you host something off shore, all the data crossing borders is monitored and exchange between smtp servers is unencrypted. Which means there is no possibility of privacy unless EVERYONE you communicate with has mail hosted outside the USA as well and the routes don't pass through either.

    The actual problem is not a technical one, its a political one, and the only ways to force change are with your wallets or with weapons, personally i'll play either game agains the USA
