Same industry, and yeah, you're right.
Also: with conformal coating you CAN NOT get that stuff on the contacts if you want the components to work correctly. And if you're not sealing up your connection points, you're still going to get a short if you use a non-electrically neutral fluid (like water) to cool your system. You CAN use CC if that really floats your boat, but considering the cost way outweighs the benefit on personal electronics equipment, I don't know why you'd want to...
You've obviously never been in a windstorm. Driving anywhere would be a BAD idea. Those folks who live in areas where this is likely to happen usually already have the basics covered (like having a generator for just such an occasion). One of the best ways to prevent going stir-crazy is to have a collection of games on hand. If all of those games are DRM-locked because they can't call home, not only are you stir-crazy, but now you're pissed about DRM.
And that's how mountain-man militias are born.
Dude, I can come up with a dozen ideas a minute... where's my dimes at?
Seems like going solo, or preparing to not get paid are really your only options. Which is more important? Seeing the game made out of love, or getting paid? If it's getting paid, then the only way you'll make it in the industry is by heading your own company, apparently...
I need a Surge, but I can't find it anymore. I guess I need to stick to Vault.
Consumerism is awesome!...what were we talking about?
Ooh, Look! A shiny new nickel!
Whoa, wait... so you're saying that NCLB isn't doing this ALREADY?! Instead of the one or two bright kids making the conscious decision to do well and advance, we're dumbing-down the lot, and setting the path to mediocrity for everyone. Let me tell you something about being labeled a "lost cause". It's a self-fulfilling prophecy put in place by those without the mental toughness or agility to find a way out of a bad situation. What we should do, in all honesty, is let these kids know that the village that it takes to raise a child does NOT exist in this country. That they really are on their own, and need to make the call for themselves, because those who should be doing it for them are incompetent, and those who WILL be doing it for them only want to be in control because they're addicted to power, and the status quo is in their favor.
That was the only lesson I learned from years of public school, and that lesson has paid off.

Oh, so Tasha Yar was just alien food? I notice the blonde-haired white woman doesn't get a mention, since we're being all prejudicial.
Hypocrisy, thy name is Trekkie.
Personally, I prefer to be a well-rounded individual, with a broad and ever-expanding skillset. Too much specialization can be deadly, from a business standpoint. Just ask your local Haberdasher.
You know what would be great? If they were to give you an extra in-game "bonus" for filling out their survey. That way, it's "opt-in", and you feel like you're getting paid for actual "work" and they don't have to spend any actual "money" for your "private information". They get demographic information from people willing to go the extra mile to play their game (both figuratively and literally) which is their target market, anyway.
When does database-centric game-licensing become a problem in my mind? when it stops being an opportunity, and starts becoming an obligation.
Just like Religion and Voting.
Did he mean "Literally blown away" as in the glut of questions caused his CPU to over-heat, thereby causing his industrial strength CPU fan to cause him to be blown "away" from his workstation...or someone came in and shot him for misusing the word "Literally"?
Robo-David-Coppafeel.

We use Greek letters. Xi, Kappa, Epsilon, et cetera. We've only got a couple dozen servers, so that works for us.
