Reminds me of when I tried and tried to run Linux on my Sega Dreamcast. Not sure why it was such an obsession for me, but it finally happened - and it had hardly any functionality whatsoever.
I can imagine the iPhone will be much, much harder for developers to master, since RIM's Blackberry Storm OS can't even do touch interface right.
Let's face it, the Kindle is a one trick pony that needs a lot of help to ever make it mainstream (like the iPhone). It's like the Hulk, who can only punch and smash, except the Hulk is cool and the Kindle is pretty much the polar opposite of cool.
The Oprah show does a lot of good for people (so my mother defends), but this may be the defining moment when Oprah jumped the shark.
For those who believe in prayer, whatever your faith, pray for him.
The power of prayer and faith is amazing and cannot be under-estimated.
If there are any other suggestions on how to help Sayed Kambakhsh, please speak up. Meanwhile, we pray.
How is Google going to "reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute the content you submit, post or display on Chrome"?
It sounds boilerplate to me (which is kind of surprising, since you'd think Google would have a crack legal team banging one out before Chrome's release).
Oh yeah, Google will be quick on that one. There is no way The Goog is going to watch Apple's App Store make a million dollars a day and rake in a cool BILLION dollars in revenue next year and not respond.
As a marketing consultant, I can appreciate how easy the App Store relieves people of their burdensome credit. Just fire up the App Store on the iPhone, select one of the thousands of apps, and press the BUY button. Voila, your pre-authorized credit card is charged with a sale. And you get emailed an invoice from Apple a few days later.
I've done it myself, with purchases of up to $20 in fact. Steve must know how media starved and spend-easy us iPhone users are;)
Fact: People who smoke pot are not law abiding citizens.
Fact: Your bad choices can negatively affect others.
Fact: You are in a diminished state of awareness and a danger to others while under the influence of marijuana. Alcohol, in many regards, is no better and in fact worse.
marijuana/lsd use - the nixon drug laws (i'm so sorry to tell you, but, even though I don't do this personally, it is an everyday activity for millions, and there is no proven addictive properties to either. people who use these drugs are not "Evil")
Oh please, get out of your ivory tower. People who smoke marijuana act stupid and put others at risk with their stupidity. I know of a pot smoker who, when stoned on pot, locked his cat in the freezer all night. The cat somehow survived, but had to have it's paws cut off.
Pot makes stupid people even stupider!
The website desperately needs more product screenshots, a downloadable video showing the OpenMoko in action, more helpful feature descriptions and an overall friendlier tone.
I wanted to buy, I really did, but the website is a killjoy bigtime.
