... or c) The enemy starts strapping location beacons on their aircraft masquerading as "friendly" aircraft.
I believe this movement (towards tele-operated aircraft) is to reduce casualties of highly trained persons (doesn't it cost several million dollars to train a fighter pilot?), and to reduce the hassle of having to retrieve downed pilots behind enemy lines.
Looks like this is a pretty interesting move on part of the US military.
And think about what the station will go through when it gets to the bottom of the ocean. With all that volume of seawater sitting on top of it, I'd imagine it'd break down into fairly harmless bits and pieces pretty quickly.
I wonder how long it will be before we start seeing experimental military technology such as beam weapons (lasers and stuff) being used for civil engineering purposes. That could be really cool, like having a laser drill to make deep holes in the earth and stuff like that.
The thing I think about "uploading" your conciousness into a computer or into another human being even, is that you and your conciousness dies when you pass away.
Sure you make a copy of your conciousness but you still die.
Bascially what I am saying is that it would not be you in the computer or other body but an exact copy of your conciousness. I guess it could be a good philosophical debate but thats my view.
Hey, does anyone know if they / have they published specs for the data busses and power systems of the Space Station? I'm just really curious to see exactly how the stuff works.
You beat me to posting this and I'm with you entirely. I think its actually pretty funny watching people worship this guy like he's a god and an expert on everything that has to do with computers. I mean the guy was in jail for a few years away from a computer for crying out loud, so he's gotta be out of date on lots of stuff.
... lets remove restrictions from restricted movies, guns, explosives, cigarettes, pornography, adult "toys", etc.
Right people? I mean, come on, our kids should be able to buy this stuff without parential consent.
And another thing, these arcade games haven't been "banned", they're just being made so that parential consent is required for the kids to play. So don't use such misleading headlines. I guess I should be used to it by now but still!
All the information you mentioned above is general information as it can apply to a range of instances where a crime could be committed.
eg. A Chemistry text book doesn't tell you how to build a bomb to blow up specific US embassy.
Being the provider of specific information eg. "I told him there was a weakness so he could break into that system at address foo.bar" or "I told the killer that Jane Doe would be leaving the building at 8:00pm." CAN make you an accessory to a crime.
I'm all for freedom of speech as much as the rest of you guys, but you people seem to forget that there are other laws in place to protect other people's rights. Would you like it if someone told the world that your car you worked hard long hours to buy, was unlocked so they could go and steal it? Somehow I don't think so.
You people are not the only ones with rights you know.
This method for killing someone is common knowledge. It is also very general as it can apply to killing anyone.
However sites like ISO news are specific. They talk about a specific item (pirated game), and are therefore assisting a crime if someone decides to download the ISO.
The same would hold true if in your message above you said "Here is how you can kill Joe Schmoe" and then someone proceeded to kill Joe Schmoe.
IANAL but as far as I know this is how the laws work.
Can you become an mission specialist if you're slightly colorblind?
What do you guys think of ads in your software? Is it worth giving up your privacy for a free binary, or paying fifty bucks for the binary?
Oh come on! How does having to view ads while browsing violate your privacy? Besides, if you don't like it, don't use it. Its really that simple!

what these politicians are putting on their sites to get blocked
:)
Porn site banner ads for campaign financing of course!
Hey, just a few questions for those who might be experienced in this field.
If they found out that something like this were going to hit the Earth for sure, how well could they predict where it would come down?
My second question is, would this object do a lot more damage if it landed smack in the middle of the ocean?
Thanks.
Subject says it all.
If I remember correctly, Super Subrock and Zaxxon and a few others were games I used to play on my Coleco Adam way back when...
Yeah, seriously, you don't see the same kind of following for other styles of cartoons.
How come they didn't take any color pictures?
Then we could call it "Poo-to". :)

It might be that the connectors in the cartridge slot are all worn down, or very dirty.
I think a while back I saw an electronics surplus store selling a the replacement part but I can't remember which store it was.
Try opening up your system and cleaning the contacts with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol or something. (it worked for me).
Maybe they could also make them so you can use it to make phone calls, use vending machines, etc... That'd be nifty.
...its just BS to scare people who have little knowledge of how the net works. Maybe if noone pays any attention to them they'll just go away.

US Navy Commando's stole it and took off in a captured German U-Boat. I swear, I saw it on film!
It won't go faster than itself but I imagine they'd be using a greater spectrum of light to cram more data through a fibre strand.

OMG, thats funny. Reminds me of the good ol' Space Quest days. I wish they'd release a new one...
