Why suppress and classify? Encourage everyone to have one in the home and have a backdoor installed. That would fit with the usual NSA modus operandi.

What about the first few seasons of the rebooted BSG? That was undoubtably an improvement on the original, took a vacuous but fun space opera into new territory as a dark and edgy SF psychodrama. "33" was one of the most sublime SF TV experiences that I've had in my life. Such a pity they ruined it towards the end... actually, that's unfair. They didn't ruin it, but it did drop dramatically in quallity.

They had many choices, simple two choices: Report bug and get $12.50, amazing yahoo was not giving them tree fidy. They could have gone onto some darknets and sold the report for $100,000+. The choice was theirs to make.

Which is exactly why Yahoo should have paid them more. Make the choice less obvious and save themselves a lot of grief further down the line.

I've wondered something similar about this myself. In an accident, the driver of the vehicle is the one who usually is considered to be responsible for the vehicle. Is the company that manufactured the "driverless" system at fault, or is the primary occupant liable for legal repercussions? Surely the legal system will have to work out a few kinks before we see driverless cars in common use.

It was juvenile and potentially offensive, but was it sexist? It keeps getting mentioned in the same breath but I just don't see the comparison. One was objectifying women, the other was a joke about masturbation.

What happened is that apathetic voters simply put 1 into the first box on the page and dumped the paper into the Ballot box. They really didn't care who was in the box, they just voted to avoid being fined (yes, in Australia if you dont vote you get a fine). I'm just glad one of the obviously racist parties (One Nation, Stable Population) wasn't in pole position.

You don't have to vote to avoid a fine, you only have to attend a polling place and get your name crossed off. There's no requirement for you to actually cast a ballot.
