It is a web borwsing platform. Just as desktop applications are built on an operating system, so are web sites built on browsers. All browsers do NOT work in the same way. So one cannot expect that a web site will work in the same way on all browsers. I must fully support and agree with the previous suggestion.
This a rather interesting turn of events in the Linux vs. Microsoft battle. The ramifications of such are certification could possibly be far reaching. Linux support in governement offices has been expanding for example, My uncle works works for the FAA and their office is moving from NT 4 to linux (for desktops). However this certification turns the tables of linux proliferation a bit. Since there are not many (or any?) Linux distros that are rated at such a level it will be easier for MS to make a case against Linux from a "trust worthyness" standpoint. Whether this is true or not, the rating gives MS a foot to stand on when dealing with the government and/or military. Also, it makes more W2K a more "valueable" product since it has something that only the l33t of the OS world posses.
okay that thing sucks. What makes it different? People like to have New media with new devices. I think that you should be able to record a show on the internal HD and then if you want to keep it, Burn it to either a CD or a DVD. Now that would be cool.
There is no way these guys are for real. First off there are already comapanies that are currently working on this technology, what makes them any smarter and knowledgeable than the next person. In addition, there is only mention of two people involved in this project only one with any sort of electrical engineering expertise. I highly doubt that they have a functional product. After visiting the web site it becomes very apparent that this organization is not one which is extremely professional(take a look at the press release). i am quite skeptical of any and all claims which these people have made. but hey, i hope i am wrong, this thing would kick a**.
