Before you get all high and mighty you should realize that both sides play this game.
Actually during the early part of the Iraq war the US military dropped fliers in many languages letting people know what was about to go down. I wouldn't be surprised if they restricted certain parts of the city due to violence in those areas.
I have a few friends that actually served in Iraq in the early years and are ready to go back because they believe they are helping these people. They tell me about the many Iraqi's that appreciate the US being there and the people that come out on the street to wave at the convoys and cheer for them.
Determining an enemy from a civilian is difficult because I've heard the more terrifying stories about kids less than 10 years old shooting AK-47's at US convoys. The US tries as hard as they can to avoid civilian casualties.
Just because the US has taken on an authoritative role in getting rid of people that hate human rights and want to kill people does not mean the US is a bully. The US is more like the big brother that beats up on the bullies.
I want to be the person that records the people recording the police officers, that way everyone can be certain the people recording the police haven't edited the video or left out them provoking law enforcement.
Most of the time I'll guess until the business I am developing the software for agrees with my estimate. Seems if they don't like my estimate the first week, they ask for a new estimate the week after or even a day later to try and get a lower number.
Its a great fairy tale that nukes wouldn't exist one day, but not everyone will disarm. Many extremist groups will continue to work to get nukes and I'd rather have a couple to launch back than be the person crying and begging them not to launch it at me.
There's also a difference from working hard and making a good living and GIVING money to charitable organizations to help people and having it TAKEN from you by the government to give to people who believe they deserve it more than you.
