At the moment I am driving what is without doubt the most reliable car I have ever had (and yes I have owned new cars). I paid $800 for my Nissan Micra about five years ago. Have spent around $600 on it for maintenance (not including tyres) and have travelled just over 230,000km and I still get around 16km/litre. I love it.

I don not know how old you are or how much night time driving experience you have but this is what I have found in Australia. Twenty or more years ago it was a rare occurrence to get high beamed by another driver. In the past without fail when approaching a curve or crest in the road both drivers approaching each other would dip their lights prior to being able to see the other car. Now most drivers do not dip their headlights until treating you to a few seconds of it. I am sorry it is unrelated to Xenon but it is something that seems to be occurring (at least here) all the time. Do you find that where you are too?

This politically correct, anything you might say and probably didn't except in the minds of the liberally twisted, life has meaning only if I am outraged about some BS that I perceive as an outrageous insult to a minority I am probably not a member of but know what is best for world that I find myself in these days is insulting.
That this story has turned into some thread more suitable to a paranoid men hating rant to be found in places like Shakesville is just another sign of the death of /.
Please do not report me to the punctuation/grammar purists as they are busy enough.
Maybe you could find some like minded, hairy legged, overall wearing, men haters with mod points and trash my karma publicly. That'll learn me.

I had never really thought about the full time moderator until I read your post. Many(many) years ago I saw something online that horrified me and actually brought tears to my eyes(not trying to be the tough guy but to bring tears to my particular eyes is really quite a feat). The video clip stayed with me in my head for probably about six months. It accompanied me everywhere I went and sound was the trigger that brought it to the forefront of my thoughts. If I had to deal with viewing/listening to that sort of stuff on a daily basis I am sure that as a reasonable and sane human being that it would break me in fairly short order. They also have my sympathy and my effusive gratitude
Before the replies telling me that I should have switched it off and not watched it I need to explain something. I did turn it off after about a minute and a half and if I had known what was going on I would have turned it off immediately. There are some things so completely fucked up that your mind cannot immediately process what is going on right in front of it.
This also had a serious affect on my concept of kids using the Internet. I would have been fine with kids having their own PC for the net in their bedrooms away from the supervision of responsible adults until this happened now I am dead against it.

I am assuming that you heard about the Total Information Awareness initiative that was defunded in 2003 by congress. Luckily for those wanting to be totally information aware Silicon Valley's own CIA venture capitalists IN-Q-TEL forked out some cash in 2004 to help get Facebook up and running. Thankfully no one is now starving for information in the ASA(Alphabet Soup Agencies) as hundreds of millions are prepared to give away their darkest secrets to anyone who offers to help water their plants.
