Yeah!Way to go Slashdot. Let's hope the next 10,000 rock just as much...
Let's give OpenDK man a funny here. I think he's going on 10k Don Knots posts... I have to admit I've even loved some of the ways he's worked it into a post.
PS. Thanks to all the trolls for helping me realize that, well, it's all fun. Thanks guys...
Wow. 15 whole RPMs? Watch out, we're cruising now... That's what? About 1 Round every 4 seconds???
Seriously though. That's going to kick ass. Now if we could just kick up the data transfer rate faster than Ultra66 (and make it easier to use) we'd be set.
How loud is the thing? The 7200RPM drives usually whine a lot...
Yeah, you go to China and rent a conference room and demonstrate why the Chinese citizens should vote against a law. I promise you'll be arrested and shut down.
> I think that you deserve some of the credit for this victory.
Actually, I think you deserve quite a bit of the credit. Thanks for helping to keep the internet open to everyone.
> It just goes to show that geeks can make a difference when we take the time to get involved and to make our pitch in a way that can be understood by the average Joe.
In the words of Austin Powers: "Yeah, capitalism".
The good side to e-mail.

It's not that important to me. E-mail has been one of the best things for my relationship with my girlfriend. Face-to-face communication and even telephone calls can be hard to make sometimes with our schedules. When I'm free, she's busy and vise versa.
And in related news, the Martians have launched a lawsuit against earth for littering. This is the largest lawsuit since the MPAA tried to sue the internet over DVD encryption.
> But then again, why is apple snooping around a Linux Desktop Themes site for copyright violations?
A.) If you remember a few weeks ago, Linus Torvalds had to do a similiar thing with people that were using the Linux logo and violating the Linux copyright. Most people were able to understand how Linus could be so worried about the Linux name, but when Apple does the same thing, many people on Slashdot are getting upset. Apple has to defend their copyrights or they risk having a more major copyright infringement go unpunished because they wouldn't punish the smaller ones.
B.) Honestly, if you designed an operating system and someone else designed an OS (over even a theme) that LOOKED like yours, down to the logos - wouldn't you be a little upset too?
I hope that Apple will be understanding and allow Themes.org to repost the themes with the Apple logo's removed. But I have to agree with what they are doing.
I like this guy just because he didn't call the people responsible for the attacks "hackers". I think that shows his intelligence compared to FOX, CNN, NBC, etc. that keep talking about all of the attacks by hackers.
Let's see. $329 for a piece of software or $99 for a playstation. Hell, for that price, I can afford to buy a TV to go with the playstation and still have it cost less than the Windows version of the software.
What a business strategy. I think I'm going to start my own business, then create a monopoly by using DDoS to wipe out all of my competition. Hmm, what will be next? Maybe my company should have it's own DDoS department.
I'm kind of curious whether Transmeta will gain enough popularity outside of the Slashdot/Geek circles to really compete in the processor market. Very few of my engineering friends have even heard of Transmeta or Crusoe.
It's kind of smart for them to be working with large schools like Stanford. If you can't get your name into the current market, market the future...
Are you a lawyer for the MPAA or are you just being an ass? Just what I want, to copy one of my friends DVD's onto 14 CDRs. Hmm, let's get up every 5 minutes and change disks.
Better yet, let's cut the quality by 10 and then watch it. Hmm, wouldn't you get better quality duping VHS like that?

What the #@&* is FUD?

Hey, it's only a dumb question if you don't ask it...

Also know as a laptop.

Yeah, captialism. (or should I put democracy?)
kwsNI
Yeah, sometimes I pick the female character and change my name to antiKwsNI.

BTW, to the moderators. Pancaked is a term for going splat, this is not a pancake troll.

Haven't you heard of instant coffee? They're little packs just like teabags, only they have coffee in them (duh, that was a little redundant).

Actually, you'd get better luck running a Voodoo card than the GeForce. NVIDIA makes a really, really sweet card but Glide still kicks its ass.

Didn't AMD do this 10 days ago? Is Intel running behind again :) There's a big surprise.

Does it upset anyone that Geeks have their own Net and aren't part of "Culture"?
