    Yes. W2K computers started shipping weeks ago. Many people have had their W2K computers since the beginning of the month.

    Does W2K sound much more intimidating than Y2K? Maybe we should print up some "I survived W2K" shirts.

    Gateway, Dell and other computer manufacturers are already shipping Windows 2000 pre-loaded on their business systems. Feb 17 is the official release date for the stand-alone OS.

    These DDoS attacks are all over the media. Do you feel that all of the media hype will be good to raise awareness about what can be done to prevent DDoS attacks in the future or is it just going to scare the average user?

    No kidding. I want to find one of those discount stores. I think their selling HDTVs and don't realize it. My .32 dot pitch monitor has a better resolution than my Philips (quasi-high-quality) TV.

    No. Sorry. I can't agree with this at all though. I've been using the internet since I was 13. I can't tell you the 100s of times I've accidentelly pulled up porn, not looking for it. Now that I'm out of college and have a job, I still pull stuff up unintentionally, even at work.

    5 days ago I was working on pulling up clipart images of surfers for my boss. I searched for free surfer clipart and the first site that popped up was a porn site.

    I can't tell you how many computer gaming sites I've come across that the link section points to XYZ Gaming Site but the link goes to porn.com.

    I'm not one that wants to see filtering software anywhere, especially at the expense of my tax $$$s. But I can't say that kids will only see porn if they're looking for it.
