On one particular Co-op I had, I found myself with little to do and a lot of time on my hands. I found a utility on the SCO boxes we used (I forget what it was called, probably something like scomusic) that would play different melodies on the system bell. Since the company I worked for developed software for train control, I embedded "I've been working on the railroad" in the client's logo if double clicked.
Easter eggs are fun, but you have to make sure you can get away with them!
This article reminded me of Redneck Rampage. I played the demo a few years back (similar in play and feel to Duke Nukem 3D). You could pick up and use items like whiskey bottles and beer (if I remember correctly), not to mention pork rinds:> There was also something like a sobriety meter that looked like a gas gauge that told you how drunk you were. If you were in the red (full tank), the controls didn't respond normally. Walking forward would result in you going off at a funny angle if you were drunk enough! I can't remember the other effects of being drunk.
That was a great game for the sole reason of being able to blow away farm animals!
Apparently they're trying to downplay all the crap they've been getting by publically posting it to prove they aren't afraid of it (I guess, what other reason would there be?).
