There are no public computer labs at Florida State University, perhaps with the exception of the first floor of the Strozier Library, since you can pretty much just walk in and use the machines there. I can't think of any public labs, so is this what you are referring to? Just curious, because I never really use those machines.
ACNS computer labs, which are not open to the public, have IE and Netscape Navigator on the PCs, and IE and Netscape 7 (6?) on the Mac OS 9 machines, IIRC.
The Music Library only has Mozilla. Unfortunately, it's a pretty old nightly. But it works alright.
Choosing UF for its proximity to beaches is one of the silliest things I've ever heard.
Florida's public state university system is comprised of 10 universities and a college and the MAJORITY of them are closer to any beach than UF. FSU, FAMU, UWF, UNF, USF, NCF, FAU, FIU are all within a relatively close proximity to FL's beaches.
UF happens to be one of the most established and respected universities around. Except for FSU.
I kinda find pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis easier to spell than a lot of other words considering it's pretty much just a big compound word. Oh well.

The disc changing wasn't THAT much of a problem. It pretty much only occurred when you visited a new island. And it usually takes more than 10 seconds to go through everything on an island.
How is the notation "wack"? It seems kind of normal to me...
Yes, they do mark you wrong. Heard Alex say so.

IIRC, you cannot say more than one (it might be two) syllable wrong. Since Linux would be (I hope, heh) two syllables.. saying them both wrong would be pretty hard, but it doesn't look like they'd be able to mark you wrong for it.

Do a whois lookup on just about any proper name. Check.com,.net, and.org. MAILBANK.com has designed half of their business on selling email addresses and URL redirectors with proper names.
AOL has released the TOC client/server protocol, but not the OSCAR protocol which AOL's Windows client uses. The TOC and OSCAR clients access two different servers. If AOL really wanted to play games with Microsoft easily, they could just kill off any support for TOC clients and stick with their unreleased OSCAR protocl. Of course, that would also kill off support for TiK, and Tac, and GAIM, and whatever other TOC clients there are.
I'd have to agree with the speed factor. I use a UMAX Astra 1220P parallel port scanner, and to scan a single photo (normal size) can take up to and over 2-3 minutes on bad days... I'd take a serial over this anyday.
Hey kid.... CPE 1704 TKS
A little birdy gave it to me.
Here's an idea to make Wikipedia more reliable: show the time of the last edit for pages, or even better, for sections of pages.
Have you looked at the footer of every single article, or what?

Actually George Carlin asked "Since when did the word 'urban' become synonymous with the word 'black'"
Perhaps, but it's still subjective
Ever hear of atonal music?
Whose definition is that?
"Harmony" as it is today has existed for a few hundred years at most.
And "evocative" seems subjective to me, at best...
UF doesn't require freshmen to live on campus.
Only freshmen that begin at the university during a summer term must live on campus to be eligible for housing in the fall.

ObNole: I go to FSU.
You could at least credit KOMPRESSOR for that.
