    Wait, what's wrong with NTFS? Not Windows, just the fs. I've always thought it's the best current gen fs, usual host platform notwithstanding. Just check the NTFS-3G benchmarks, and you'll see my point. Meanwhile, I await to see yours.

    Firefox is the new emacs. Please notice similarities between extension languages and feature creep, as well as developer/user in-jokes about memory/CPU usage.

    The guy was having some fun. It may not be the most mature sort, but that is not something you or I can decide whether it is acceptable or not. And you just had to be a spoil-sport. Also, where the hell did I have a go at anybody, except the aforementioned spoil-sport? And crying is a metaphor for what exactly? I fail to see where exactly I did that either.

    I wonder if a compiler can treat imperative statements as declarations, and add in some simple AI to do high-level peep-hole optimization (on the algorithm level).

    I think the word you are looking for is compiled, and there have been AOT compilers for Java a long time. Also, the compilation overhead for any non-trivial application is generally negligible. And who says you can't cache compilations? What, OS not secure enough? Not my problem.

    typedef is your friend, most IDEs tooltip variable types.

    I'd rather my kids organize mass orgies 3rd grade, than be like their old man, and stay virgin and progressively getting crazy about it until 10th grade and beyond.     No profiling co-processor, no I/O co-processor, no VISC no dynamic H/W-S/W thread remapping, nothing resembling DEC Alpha SRM, no, sub-operating system hardware assisted optimizing JIT, no OS/CPU/bus independent driver system, no recursive virtualization support on the instruction level, no run time partial evaluation, minimal memory management assistance from the CPU/northbridge, no explicit cache control, no superinstructions, still using non-hierarchical register machine model. What's efficient about any of this.
