I have experienced Behavior Biometric Denial of Services. Humans are just too erratic, imagine this.
Your front door is locked using this method. All of a sudden you are outside and a thug walks by making obvious threats and you start running inside to get away or get your gun and the door now locks your ass out.
You are using email services and you start looking for a job and with the sudden increase in email traffic and/or login presence causes your service to block your account temporarily because of behavioral changes. (this actually happened to me for a short time)
I was in the middle of waiting for an actual offer letter when this occurred... very frustrating!
Well, if the video can be forensically shown to be un-tampered with then it will be admissible. The nature of the evidence is taken into account as well as the methods of collection. In the case of video, anyone can find it under just about any circumstance because the actions depicted in the video is the evidence itself, which tends to avoid the issues associated with other types of evidence that can be planted which is why they have to follow a strict chain of custody and procedures.
Its a lot more difficult to plant video evidence of you raping someone as opposed to me walking in and claiming I found this illegal gun with the serial filled off in your home.
Be sure to hurry up and give up all of your freedoms and private for Big Brother... no reason to wait when you can hurry it along and get a little friendly jail time for it too.
I do not know of a single person whom has not broken the law online even by accident. My 4 yr old niece has already done things not legal.
The difference between you and a government official is that the government official gets away with it.
Yep, this thing is smoaking off into the sky, but I still believe this is a step in the right direction either way. I can still hope for better with Indie and DRM free, but I can live with this.
We really win more this way and it seems like all the overly negative people are in a feeding frenzy right now.
Listen up guys! This is not a bad thing, this is the time to send the other publishers a message that giving gamers options and good deals is beneficial to business. While I understand the disagreement some of you have with these games being DRM, I for one will not get angry unless HumbleBundle stops offering DRM free and Indie titles in favor of these. I am happy with them offering both and if we can encourage more, it will help generate some solid numbers that can help break the illusion of whether or not DRM is providing the businesses an advantage when they see DRM free indie games generating respectable or hopefully more income than DRM'd games.
We should applaud a company for taking a step in the right direction not lambasting them, even though it seems suspect. Companies follow the money and if they can make more money by dressing their CEO's in clown suits instead of a suit and tie then that is what is going to happen. We have the chance to show the other companies how much of a success using services like GOG.com, KickStarter.com, and HumbleBundle.com can be to their revenue stream and they will be paying attention to that more than anything! They only include DRM because they think it actually protects them, but in cases like this, it might be in our best interests to offer a little breathing room!
I found Ring Runner on Kick Starter and those guys have a stable and playable Demo out as well as trying to get it onto Steam with greenlight. For a game made by a couple of brothers they did a fantastic job so far I think. If you like top down fast action space shooters then you should at least give the demo a try and see what you think! It's like Asteroids on Serious Roids!
I have seen 'experienced' programmers do far worse that these unknown guys.
we have to protect another child on behalf of the parents not capable of using good common sense.
We need to stop making scissors of all kinds, stop the production of any toys that a small child might play with but not marketed to them, and even take kids balls away because someone might get hurt.
Stupid people doing stupid things... being going on for millenia, and every effort to stop them has failed.
Unfortunately you are wrong. We sit on the shoulders of Giants, and regardless of where you go there is a tyrant with an army of stupid people working for them.
People are stupid... do they have to be? No they don't. Does this also mean that we can't build rockets and make it to the moon? Of course not. You are providing exceptions, and that is a bad use case for disproving a rule.
The question is begged.... If people are not as stupid as I claim, then why are there so many wars, despots, tyrants, and marks of destruction on our planet all throughout history? Tell me how we are not stupid? And don't use exceptions to do it!
You are right, as long as beer is cheap and TV is tawdry so to speak the problem does not go away.
People are stupid and ignorant and just like a patient dying of cancer or cholesterol they would rather die than to put down that double bacon bacon extra cheesy melty burger.
Rare insight in the most obscene of places tends to reveal our true natures..
I for one actually like the idea of a game player making it into office, regardless of their political affiliation.
People seem to forget that most people running for office are too busy to be down to earth or able to understand the common person. Once you get rich and powerful reality does not hang around for long unless you make a concious effort to keep it there.
careful slinging the guano around yourself... you get dirty too.
As an independent I find that people like yourself are too busy talking trash about the other side than to notice the trash you and your side are spewing.
Everyone should go and read George Washington's farewell address, he predicted the Civil War and our current state of affairs because people like you are to busy being what you are...
Blind and Hypocritical.
Both Sides lie, and 1 side is busy fooling you!
If you voted Red or Blue then you are a part of the problem, not the solution.
I agree. Every song I play in iTunes on a PC has at least 1 random 0.1 seconds to sometimes a whole second somewhere in the track where there is a slight stutter, pause, blip, distortion, or something. I can play music on Media Player, KMPlayer, or WinAmp using the same file and this not happening. It is small and it is subtle but it still happens.
Putting it simply, your opinion about how good or bad something has been engineered has no real impact on whether or not that Creator exists. The equivalent is to say that I do not believe in the person that coded a line of script because I could make it better or because I can perceive flaws in it.
Regarding the rest, its is all supposition that you believe and I don't. I claim God as fact and you don't. Neither of us can prove the other wrong because we see the evidence and arrive at different conclusions. However, the fact that you can consider a particular object good or bad depending upon who made is is a bit intellectually dishonest. If it is crude, it is crude, whether by Creation or Evolution. Additionally your understanding of crude will change as your understanding of things change, so it only goes to show that we as humans constantly judge things with the shortest possible sight we can muster, while believing we have considered all that should be considered.
I Believe in God but I have no qualms with Science until it starts to posit unrealistic things like, Science and Christianity are at odds. The only Christians at odds with Science are the ones that have problems with their own Faith. And the only Scientists that have problems with Christians are the Pseudo Scientists.
And yet regardless of Seneca or Gibbon there are many others of equal or greater stature that nay-say them?
"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."
-Einstein
How many more people know of him as opposed to Seneca or Gibbon?
The point is that this is all very much everyone's own opinion. How about proving yours with your own insight rather than limping around using anothers?
You missed the point he was making. Replace it with another non-religious focused group and you will get the same dang thing.
Remember when people rioted in LA when the Lakers won? Tell me where religion was a part of that? The Holy Church of Lakers? That is why they call them FAN(atic)S!
A better explanation would be that certain religions and groups attract specific types of people and thus are people able to be steered into bad directions through that organization. The basic problem with everything is the 'human component' sans any religious affiliation.
Why not just educate equally and allow people to come to their own conclusions? I would support the reading of all religious texts in school as well as all scientific theory one after the other.
The point to which I disagree is the prevention of these readings or establishing anything as fact when it has not been conclusively proven. Or the omission of non-established fact when for all sakes and appearances a fact has been established. The scientific community has once in the past made the claim that some humans were not humans for slavery's sake, now we consider that to be bad science. I would like to focus more on efforts to prevent that than I would to convert everyone to my belief system.
There are those that view the sewage works as entertainment as well, and would also lambaste you with ad hominem attacks for not considering that fact in your comments.
You are welcome to produce a superior being any time you feel up to it. Too often people have a propensity to judge others works that they lack the expertise to reproduce or fully understand.
Our bodies are technically designed to repair themselves and live forever, yet for some unknown reason those functions are arbitrarily limited as well. We have any number of different mechanisms in place marching us down the road to death and they all seem like easy things to reverse engineer until we actually try.
Regardless of the God I worship it seems to be that most like you hold the notion that nature and evolution are pretty awesome while turning around and calling the idea of a Creator as being a bad engineer. So yes, you like to blame all the bad things on God, but none of the good things. God has already claimed credit for everything initially created good & bad... but its your fault for your creations of bad and good. So you see as much as you cannot believe in a Creator is the same that a rock could not believe you can create a stone for it has also noticed your horrible engineering as well.
Again, another human being applying their petty knowledge and understandings against God. God could create a diamond in front of your face that science could test to be older than anything tested in creation, yet you witnessed with your own eyes that it is only days old.
Cosmology is better left to explain how God has set things in motion and the rules He has established regarding them, however it should not be used to explain things God has done out of order or contrary to the laws of creation. Those are one offs and it neither disproves or competes with cosmology. And neither does cosmology and its science compete with God, for His Authority is the very act that may arbitrarily bind and unbind these things upon whim.
Your attribution of clumsy, wasteful, blundering, low and horribly cruel is really just your own opinion and is only an example of your ignorance.
I have found that every person against God has zero hesitation in blaming God for everything that goes wrong, but seems silent regarding God when things go right. The incoherency is within you and your ability to hold a double standard is in obvious view.
God created Good and Evil and is responsible for their existence, however as beings of free will, we are responsible for the evils we created. If God is busy slapping down every person or stopping evil from occurring then we have no free will, and neither can we be judged for our actions as they would not be our own.
I am sure you can explain how your comments indicate that you will be any different in behavior as opposed to say the church when they handled apostates?
The very fact that your only label for religion is 'opiate' indicates that you are laboring under an extreme lack of intelligence and knowledge.
The Church treated the non-believers the way you want to treat the believers... with a healthy dose of re-education.
Apparently Dawkins did not mind making negative comments about the muslim video while complaining about the comments that religious folk make about scientific claims.
Pot calling the kettle black much?
I do not see where religion and science conflict with each other on a merit basis. I only see conflicts with science and religion where people create them.
So what if there is evidence that evolution may be true, it still does not make it true and may only reveal how a Creator propagated new species. As someone who writes scripts I reuse a lot of code and I am sure the Creator was intelligent enough to do the same thing to save on time and effort like any intelligent being would do. So yea, one could say that my constant reuse of old script code would be considered a part of the evolution of my future scripts yet, that technically would not be the case.
A programmer is effectively a God in any program he creates, and the same question of "can a programer program a rock so heavy that he cannot create a program strong enough to lift it", could be applied. Yet despite that paradox a programmer has the exact benefits of Omnipotence and Omniscience where that program is concerned, the same being of a God/Creator. We keep forgetting that the status of a God/Creator implies an entity that operates outside of the same rules our corporeal existence is confined withing to the best of our knowledge. Making the assumption that a God/Creator must also be limited to our rules and understandings, is the very first reason we fail to understand how such a being could exist.
Everyone should get their heads out of their rear ends and stop blaming religion for crap and religion needs to stop hating science for what it finds as though it is some attempted disproof of their religion.
There is a lot of short-sightedness going on here and it is plentiful from both sides.
If tyranny and oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.
Of all the enemies to public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few.
