    Good for them. They are probably going to outgrow RedHat but since they are not really in the same league I don't see that as a problem.
    With Linux commercial companies getting stronger and stronger I wonder what's going to happen to Debian and others ... Not that I will miss Debian but it looks like they will be pushed out of the game ( at least from the perspective of mainstream technical press )

    No I am not sysadmin. I am software developer and my task is to shield the user from underlaying OS as much as possible. Ideally, the software they use should be seamless with the task they are required to do.
    That's what I meant by "computing ignorance"

    MS software sometimes fails because they often aim for too much but generally it works exactly as advertised ...

    Yep. Even troll got pulled into this game and came up with themable qt ( unnecesary bloat for toolkit) I guess they wanted to match GTK which first came out with that madness ( it seems like themes and related stuff was more importand to GTK crowd than having properly working toolkit in the first place - on the other hand, default GTK is so ugly that , I guess, they had to come up with something to fix that.)

    Yep, you are right, most themes are ugly like hell ( specially those toolbar buttons - uhrrrr)

    What is the tax rate there in Norway ? How much of _your_ money do you keep and how much is taken by your goverment ?

    IT WORKS. Look to Canada. We have a system that functions. One of the best free systems around. Sadly, the US keeps stealing our doctors cuz they get paid better elsewhere.. (Yes, there are other issues to be thought about with the Canadian Health Care system, but it doesn't suck)

    I personaly know people who were so fed up waiting for MRI ( 6 months ) that they came to US and got it done in about one week.
    There are many, many canadians crossing the border to get quality healtcare here is US so stop spreading your propaganda ... we have enough problems here without public healtcare.

    Of course we do suffer.
    First: Tax reates are definately too high.

    Second: Public education is in a terrible state despite us pumping bilions and bilions of $ for the last couple of decades.
    Compared to many countries US public schols are extremely well equiped but still lag terribly behind when one cosiders quality of education provided by those institutions.

    Something is terribly wrong ..

    that happens but not that often. It is far more frequent on Linux when you have to recompile all your stuff cause some idiot didn't think that keeping binary compability between libraries is an importand thing.

    MS Office for the most part, is very fine product.
    Actually, it is probably the best things MS ever created ( IIS is another one)
