How many people are actually going to be running around stealing data by plugging a device into someone's phone. The only thing that I can see from this is someone actually writing a virus that can use the same program from this technology and add a simple mailto command, emailing all your data to them to use for statistics as well as more devious things.
What if someone has not played that team before, such as the game with Appalachin St. (sp?). Also, the algorithm is based strictly off of historical data, kind of like a Black and Scholes model for historical prices of stocks and should be used as a starting point, but not an end all prediction method.
There are too many things to consider such as: crowd noise (maybe it's a new stadium?); player experience (there could be a lot of veterans on the team, which may mean less nervousness, i.e. less dropped passes, missed tackles, turnovers); coaches (new playbook and different style of offense); and so on.
I just finished a job where the CIO asked one of the systems people to open up someone's email just so he could see what he was looking at before, instead of just calling and asking them. A little messed up if you ask me. One of the reasons why I left. He also joked about putting key loggers on people's machines for fun (THIS IS THE CIO!)
I didn't miss the point, I am just frustrated that with the publicity about this subject, the ruling from the judge, that it is not resolved. The local news could have gotten a hold of this and created some controversy about it. The best thing that could be done to not bury this would be to have the news blast this all over their evening report.
How do they get away with not hiding these numbers. People get their lives torn to shred, their credit smashed, debt accumulated because someone steals their SSN and information. I thought you weren't even supposed to carry your social security card around with you just in case you lose your wallet/purse, yet the state of Virgina doesn't deem it necessary to hide these? WHY DO YOU THINK THEY ONLY AS FOR THE LAST 4 OF YOUR SOCIAL AS VERIFICATION? Come on people, let's stop being retarded.
Why look for martians? If we find one, they're just going to be turned into a celebrity and buy a small poodle and say, "That's hot" to everything... wait a second! Is Paris a.... nevermind, can't be, she's way too dumb, and definitely not a good actress.
I think everyone is missing a big thing here. Regardless of who is coming up with what features first (such as no one cares that FF had tabs first, just that now they both have it) but the fact that FF will probably figure out what features would be good to implement out of IE8, and most likely implement it faster being open source (or at least have an add-on). The fact that Microsoft takes forever, and that they do not have independent developers and freelance people able to tweak their code b/c they are not open source, they are always going to be behind. Unless they have features that are not released to the public in order to get a jump on Mozilla.

It says margins are getting as thin as most laptops, but I don't think there's room to worry until they get MacBook Air thin!
if (hurricane && phone =='busy'){ sendtext("GTFO GUSTAV IS COMING!"); }
Will it also create a powerpoint presentation so they can show it off to their boss about how they probably need a raise?

'MMIS, for 'massively multiparticipant Internet sport.' That is one hell of a tongue twister.
