    Turns out not properly maintaining you engine can cause you to brick you engine.
    Same thing, and in high end sports cars, yeah, it can costs 10s of thousands of dollars to fix/replace.

    Yes, it will fall. Stop being stupid.

    The release in tension will cause it to fly away, but not completely out of the earths gravity well, which means it will return and fall. It won't be that much tension, so it will be back in a few days. However it won't have enough speed for much of a burn up.

    So, how to those objects get into an orbit? I meas, you've shot the straight up...then.. what?

    And, do you realize how much each launch would cost in power? just hitting a target with a dot at the ranges requires takes power, much less enough energy to actually heat anything., and it needs to stay on for quite some time, as far a lasers go.

    While I believe both are possible, I don't think either is practical..at this time, if ever.

    No, they HAVE NOT. They have been discussed, but there isn't a solution that doesn't require magic.
    When the elevator falls, it will be a global catastrophe.

    The atmosphere isn't a magic burn up place. At the speeds they will be falling, there won't be any signigicant 'burn up'. Meterao are travelling thousands of miles an hour. It will be STATIONARY*, unlike satellites, space stations, and space shuuttles that revolve around the earth at a high rate of speed.

    The strength of the material required to do a space elevator means it's going to have unpredictable results and have a huge negative impact to the rest of the world.

    But... this probably will not happen. ever. To expensive, to much time , there wont be any 'fast' combat.
    If we get to the point where we can garner the energy requires for lasers..then are systems will be able to defeat those system.
    We will have AI, which will build to be optimal solutions and a counter solution, ad the AI will be the same everywhere because there is only 1 optimum solution for every encounter type.
    Of curse, dynamic changes will happen, but for an AI, the change will be slow and predicted because will will have a lot of time between calculation and real world firing. I mean, milliseconds to maybe 2 seconds.

    right now Arial combat will happen in a 100 miles cube. In space, ships will be light minutes away.

    The combat on the ground is'r realistic for a space faring races, because we would just drop rocks. very very large rocks.

    That said, let me explain how this works:

    Lets say flaxseed doss have a large enough effect.
    A pharmacy company, or chemical company, will find out the exact compound that cause it is. Then either prefect a precise extraction method that ensure a very high probability of the exact same dose, or they will synthesize it. They will determine the optimal dose for age and weight groups. Then they will sell it.

    So that the 'natura'l product become part of medicine.

    It's not fucking magic.

    As for your little comparison between people claiming something is medicine when there really isn't strong evidence and someone selling a box of snacks is fucking stupid. You should be shunned for a week.
