  7. split key keyboards and....well, dvorak and stuff on Ergonomic Keyboards · · Score: 1

i've been using a trust splitkey keyboard for about 2 years now i guess, and i must say it sure improves the longevity of typing sessions, i don't have pain in my hands anymore after typing for a few hours, and it since i've been using it, i actually type quite a bit faster than i did before. the only problem is that under windows, when i go in and out of a dos prompt, occasionally it just activates that pesky little "ms" button it has (which is used for shortcuts like: ms+e = explorer) it hasn't failed me yet, and i'm sure that if it'll ever breakdown, it's because of the huge amount of cola, beer, chips, and other food that is bound to reside between the vast spaces between my keys. ofcourse, i could just clean it. "shell to dos, come in dos, do you copy?"

  8. Re:They do sell Jolt in the Netherlands on The Ultimate Geek Food · · Score: 1

really? cause here in almere i can't seem to find it, allthough i do remember it being sold at takeover'98, but only because the organizers went to germany to get it. or something like that anyway "pass the salt...or DIE!"

  9. Re:Screw Jolt, it's for wussies. on The Ultimate Geek Food · · Score: 1

they don't sell jolt here (holland), which is too bad, they do sell dr.foots, which seems to be similar, but i don't know how that measures up on the caffeine scale, regardless of that, sharing 10 cases of the stuff between 3 people at lan parties should get rid of the caffeine difference.

  10. errrm. on Reno Proposes Global Anti-Cybercrime Network · · Score: 1

"According to this story, Janet Reno has proposed the formation of LawNet, a global network to fight computer crime" i remember reading on hackernews that this was supposed to be a national american network, not global? in any case, i don't think the rest of the world is waiting on yet another american "global" initiave that will only wind up being controlled by the american government. hmmm...that wasn't a very relevant post. but what the hey. "avalanche? - yeah? - you stupid"
