it amuses and saddens me to watch you guys shoot your own metaphorical feet. its like china is paying your representatives to cancel all research programs, so that there is no long-term growth. ps-this tirade is directed to the us guys.
so you can install it using wubi. my favorite is linux mint. if you are familiar with os x, ubuntu will feel right at home. if you are comfortable with windows, go with kubuntu or mint.
even the web interface of office (running on chromium) is miles better than openoffice's native linux version. more responsive, more features, better looking, everything.
true dat. i wonder how people are able to tolerate that shit for >5min. i mean, it gets non-responsive just for syncing. yes you can't do anything until sync is complete.
this is one of the few i love living in a third-world country. here, nobody fucking cares about music and video piracy. there are many much more important things and not enough time. i can download all the music, movies and games i want and i never have to worry about any repercussions. also, i can share music and movies freely with friends. like i'm listening to a great new song and i want my friend to check it out. i just tell him/her to switch on the bluetooth and click 'send via bluetooth'. the lack of this capability is another reason why iphones suck.
funny when non-us people point this out so proudly! do you guys seriously think all copyright related laws like the one you just cited have been made without any influence of the us music industry??
it maybe that you are referring to google search suggestions, because as i said in my previous reply, google dns does not interfere with your dns lookups. that is considered extremely nice because its so rare for free dns services.
Google even provide online instructions. Works faster than Optus DNS as well, plus meaningful "did you mean?" errors if you make a typo.
Not just to do with bypassing filters, it just works better.
Do not bother with Google conspiracy replies, just put on your foil hat.
i been using g dns for a long time now and i never saw that happen. and i think that's nice. i hate opendns for showing me search results when i mistype a url.
google dns ftw!!1 i'm sure that the company which stood up even against china against censorship, would certainly not tamper their dns service at the behest of a government.
how could i have overlooked this?? ok folks, you simply CAN'T replace books with ebooks. when i am studying, reading about something or even solving problems, i have at least two (often more) books open and usually the laptop is also displaying related info (although it would be kept at a further distance than the books).
i find ebooks to be much more cumbersome than printed ones. i prefer ebooks as reference material, of course. but actually learning about a new subject is (for me) much easier with proper books i can hold, fold, throw around, and write on with a pencil. imo, the best way would be to somehow make printed books searchable.
why is this troll?

it is when you multiply it with a whole university worth of students.
yep, the recent version of open office were SO good that ubuntu, the champion of the open source world, switched to something else.

So you're just another freeloader? That kind of thinking is what keeps your world a 3rd-world country. What a douche.
how?
nice advice man! *goes and creates yahoo account*
this. it seems utterly wasteful to stream over 3.5g what you could easily store on a 32gb microsd card in your phone. and i'm not getting old ;)
why is this relevant?

no, mp3.com got sued and shut down because they let any random person download any song. for free. in easily copyable mp3 format.

you don't?
i usually buy my own books. second hand books are ultra-cheap and no library limitations!
