Actually they are, there have allways been people that used Adobe Pagemaker on the Windows platform instead of Quark on a Mac.

Ok, so PageMaker really sucks on Windows, probably on Mac too :-). It's because of this that Adobe rewrote PageMaker from scratch, they call it "InDesign" now which is more of a competion to Quark, mostly because it is actually usable compared to PageMaker.

You see alot of people swithcing from Quark to Indesign because it's hasn't such a hefty price tag, and because you basically can do the same stuff in it as Quark.

Wrong!, Plex86 will only feature x86 virtualisation, emulating an x86 on an x86 would be silly.

Howevever, the program Bochs (written by the plex86 author) has x86 emulation, but only parts of the bochs code will be used in plex86. In other words: if you want an x86 emulator, use Bochs. If you want virtualisation, use plex86 (when it gets usable) or buy VMware.

I can see that this is not an option for them now that Win2k is out and all, but my guess is this will not happen with Win2k either, same old lame service packs. This is actually increasing the TCO of the installation of Win2k because you have to spend time to install all SP's.
