Man, dont a few thousand websites do that sort of thing? How the Hell can Amazon think of patenting such a broad idea? I remember when Amazon first came about, I was happy because now I could buy books online, and this would usher in more online stores for everyone's convenience. Then big businesses took over the web and are trying to ruin it for everyone. I work for a company as a webmaster, and I constantly get proposals from companies who want to provide a particular service, as long as they get exclusive access to distribute our data. But what these chumps dont understand is that you can't put a hamper on information over the Internet. It's like trying to plug a showerhead with chewing gum. It ain't gonna stick, kids. Same deal with Amazon. Putting retarded patents on broadly generalized ideas is just going to piss everyone else off. Damn lawyers have to screw up everything. Sharkey http://www.badassmofo.com
Great, now Microsoft can ruin Linux for me as well. Just when I'd gotten used to not crashing my machine every hour. Bastards. Sharkey http://www.badassmofo.com
And while you're at it, find other ways to make all my time dissappear. Maybe some/. Flash games where Tux runs around and kills the Backstreet Boys or something. Sharkey http://www.badassmofo.com
I met him once. He has a really round head and a really big ego. Too bad the bastard makes great games so I have to love him.Sharkey http://www.badassmofo.com
For cryin' out loud, its not flaimbait. You can read my opinion of the matter on my site. Chips are already moving out too fast to reach the GHz mark, why accelerate the process? The major chip vendors are taking a big hit from all this, and the consumer is getting an influx of worthless chips. Why buy if it'll be outdated next week, literally?I agree that new technology needs to be pursued, my point wasn't that IBM shouldnt move forward with this. In fact, I feel just the opposite. My point is that someone should tell AMD and Intel to chill with the chip wars.Sharkey http://www.badassmofo.com
Yeah, this won't light an even bigger fire under AMD and Intel's asses. As if new chips arent rolling out too fast as it is.Sharkey http://www.badassmofo.com
HAHA, anyone else remember how Jimmy Olsen drank the little vial of chemicals and got super-stretchy powers? Then he went around calling himself Elastic Lad? Sweet Jesus in a birtchbark canoe, that was great. Elongated Man on the other hand, was not so great. I think the entire comics industry was on crack back then. Only way to explain these things.Sharkey http://www.badassmofo.com
