I also type Japanese in Dvorak, on occasion. I can't see how any language could be better in that POS QWERTY layout than Dvorak. A particular lameness is that XP requires a registry edit to use the IME and dvorak at the same time. Without it you can have dvorak, or you can have Japanese, but you can't eat it too.
I called ATT when I set up my DSL because the materials they sent only mentioned mac and windows. The customer services representative told me that they only supported those OS and you needed them in order to get online. Obviously they were lying, but think about when a person like this encounters a similar snag. Linux is still under the radar and everyone refuses to support it. The student help desk here at the university has a big sheet on the wall where you walk in that says they do not support unix operating systems.
Which is extremely annoying and stupid. I was shocked when I discovered that my (Ubuntu) computer fails to connect to the internet if I don't start X. Most GUI widgets tend to be front-ends for some 'real' process and I don't understand why the Ubuntu network managers aren't just ifconfig frontents.
Is not monitor refresh rate different that the frame rate that the game is rendered in.
Sorry I really don't know.

I have a script in my path called 'install' so typing "install firefox"
actually runs
"sudo apt-get install firefox"
and also adds the package name to a text file in my home directory. If I want to try a new distro, I can feed apt-get the entire text file and it will install all the programs I've ever been moved to install on my other system.
It also impresses noobs.
I bought an Acer Aspire One with XP. There was no way to get the 6-cell battery with linux. I never even booted the windows. I heard you could get a refund for an operating system if you didn't want it; is that true?
I bought an Acer Aspire One w/160GB hdd and 6-cell battery. The only way to get the 6-cell was to get the XP version. 5 hours of battery life is a pretty big deal; plus I would reinstall with any bundled/crippled distro. Wiped and installed Interpid Ibex. Another 'XP' sale. Oops.

Like your Soliton Radar, it's all made from currently existing technology.
or just trancode the file to a different format.
