I remember an article many years ago about how dice stack up to being fully random. They had some interesting pictures of the dice in 6 stacks something like 50 high. Each stack with the dice arranged with a different number up. The height of the stacks were different by several inches. There was also several rolls that were then statistically analyzed to find that imperfections in the dice made them favor certain rolls over others.
One good guy, one bad guy is the John Connor Chronicles.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles are more a web of skynet bad guys. Many don't even know they are bad. Some are bad. It occasionally intermingles with the John Connor Chronicles.
This isn't limited to software either. Here's one I'm just familiar with:
the YJ Jeep (years 88-96) came with the option of a 19 gallon gas tank. Standard was ~12 gallons. They found it was cheaper to make one gas tank and the standard one had a tube attached to it that would make the pump think it was full at 12 gallons. You can get around this by "topping off" for several minutes while you pump another 7 gallons into a full tank, or you can disassemble the inlet and remove the tube, (about 2" round 8" long) from just under the inlet area. By not taking the upgrade you are actually getting more parts.
PS. if you own one of these jeeps and want to do it google for it you should be able to find a nice pictorial howto
Yea, seems it would have been much better if it showed Kirk's ingenuity as he found a way to vanquish the smaller dog like think by fashioning some kind of weapon out of limited resources. Instead it just showed that Kirk was able to run really fast, and get lucky.
Games are probably the smallest part as many can be run through things like wine, crossover or transgameing.
The problem is: 1) My GPS unit (Magellan) 2) My Blackberry (other than just sync) 3) The requirement to inspect every gadget that comes out for Linux compatibility
I had used a Linux desktop from 1999 until ~2007 when I switched to a Mac. I loved my Mac but it is plagued with the same problems as above. Until I no longer have to worry about "I wonder if this device|software is supported in !Windows OS?" then Windows will be the OS of choice.
Not my current car (actually truck) but I decided it was worth it to have the ability to go places other than the city, of which I never drive to except for work.
But yes, my previous car, bought used, cost me less than $100 per month including fuel, paid price and maintenance.
I tried this while going to school. What you are missing is that $150,000 medical bill when someone plows into you and you break L1 and L2 in your back.
it shouldn't be made executable by the default umask though, so when you go to click on it it'll just try to associate an application with the.exe extension.

They were designed that way.

There was more to it:
Movie 1. Our fate is sealed skynet will be made and this is how it's done
Movie 2. No fate but what we make. We can change the future Skynet will not be made. Open time traval paradoxes.
Movie 3. Fate is sealed once again. Skynet will be made no matter what.
Movie 4. Lets show a big war on screen (at least that's all I know so far)
TV Series: Our fate is able to be delayed, possibly for ever, if we remain vigilant about it.

I think, a laser phaser gun and shoot him in the head, would be more appropriate.

"In short, it's an unreliable mechanical device which will crack and take water in or just wear out or foul up at the worst possible time."
I know what a mustang is, I was asking about the distributor cap.
2001 called, they want their Linux complaints back.
that gives me a horrible crick in my neck though.

WTF is a distributor cap?
So a large hunk of this may produce enough gravitational pull to actually tip missiles over? That would be awesome. Just yank them out of the sky.
We've got a 75MPH version. We call it I10.
Of course they have it there. They don't call it the "World Series" because it's limited to the Americas~.
Obama's going to loan us enough money to get us completely out of debt. It'll be great.

Unless the guy only had $50,000 coverage and no personal wealth to get anything from.
You can't bleed a rock. As they say.
Not as bad as a daily buss pass which drops in value to 0 in one day.

Let me check your math:
"about 21,000 miles"
"carpooled 90% of the time"
so 21k miles is 10% of 210k miles
210k miles divided by ~260 work days a year
My god you commute 400 miles to work one way or 800 miles round trip? Daily?

Early Michael Jackson bad or recent Michael Jackson bad?
It's OK the safety margins will allow us to push it up to 5 easily and even as high as 5.15 with greater than 98% integrity.
