If the low is artificial, does that mean that the high is artificial?
yes it's all artificial based on the market's perceived value.
Quick simplified example. Company takes in $1M in stock by selling stock and $1 a price. 100,000 people buy 10 shares each.
10 other people look at what the company is doing with that $1M and think it's a good idea and would be worth lots more so they start saying I'll pay $1.01 a share, $1.02 a share, $1.10 a share...etc until people start selling it. 100 more people see it start going up so they think there must be something going on and say I'll pay $1.20 a share, $1.30 a share, $2.03 a share etc... This is the time of the bubble when people that don't really do any investigation into the market but buy simply because it is going up. At some point there will be some more savoy investors come by and see that the stock is far to high and short sell a stock. A way of borrowing stock at a higher price then getting the difference when you return it at a lower price (or paying the diff if it goes up.) Eventually it'll come out that this company has only been able to turn the $1M into a $1.2M company and not the $2M+ that the market cap has it at and people will start to sell off. This is when the bubble pops.
There are other artificial things that can cause bubbles than just perceived value, like the government backed mortgages causing the real estate bubble.
what's up with putting "stealing" in quotes? Are you saying that if I'm offering my car for sale and someone drives it away without paying, that my car hasn't been stolen? And that the fault for that is mine, by virtue of it not being a very good car?
wrong analogy, if they took a picture of your car and went home and built an identical car to yours, would that be a problem? Funny thing about that, in social circles I've seen people get honestly mad when they get a new car and someone they know goes and gets the same car.
most states reasonable and prudent laws go both ways with the speed limit being the burden of proof line. If you are driving fast than posted it is up to you to prove that it was safe to be doing that speed, (very unlikely) If you are driving below that limit it is up to the cop to prove that you were driving to fast.
I'd much rather have a tablet sized monitor that I can slide my phone into, then have a pad with all the exact same applications and data as my phone.
Perhaps throw in some storage and graphics acceleration for the larger screen, and a standard slot/plug for android phones and I'd be ecstatic about it.
I agreed with your post right up to the point where you replied to your own posting. Now I think your entire post if full of crap and not very good to begin with.
The government should pay for the movies to be made. It's completely ridiculous that these corporate types get fat paychecks just for trying to produce some "movie." The government could do so much better by cutting out all the fat cat paychecks that get written to people that aren't even really involved in the making of the movie other than rubber stamping the plan. We should at least have a free public option for movies.
I skip the copying part, put a movie in my queue then download it from pirate by. I'm just cutting out the middle (mail) man and I have the right to watch the movie.
If a fat person calls you fat does it make you less fat? If the only witness to the murder you committed also killed someone does that make yours ok? If a pot calls a kettle black is the kettle any less so?
Actually I've known why for quite some time. It was the progressives hiding in the early 1900s and hijacking the liberal (liberty) movement and adding in their progressive (big government socialist) ideals in that word. There is no more individual liberty from anyone that claims to be a liberal.
so you're saying that efficiency is when you generate the most good (profit) with the least resources (investment)
People keep using profit as a dirty word and it saddens me. Government is also used as a dirty word from the other side of which I don't agree with either. Big government and profit generated off of it are both bad though.
That's the Democrats law.
They said the same thing about the goatse.cx guy. Nothing good came of that.
Programmer = director
Critic = Apple
user = movie goer
I don't see how it could have been interpreted any other way.
Are you saying that movie critics should be able to halt the playing of movies completely just because they didn't like it?

This in turn will cause a bubble detection bubble as everyone rushes to buy up the funds of people using the bubble detectors.

Not only that, but in 2008 Barak Obama was elected president. I concede your point.
That phrase has grown beyond it's initial use. It is now far to big to fail.
like this?
I haven't found a wireless router with a 56.6k modem on it yet. I live in the US you upitty high speed internet user!! (or insensitive clod)

This is what happens when you put scientists on pot.
scientist1: "DUDE!!! what would happen if we took a snail, (pause) and gave him speed?"
scientist2: "PHHAAAA HAHAHAHAHA, lets' get to the lab!!"
at $68,000,000 a day in tax revenue I don't think they have much to worry about when it comes to cost of oil.
Tthat's approximately 9M barrels a day * 42 gallons in a barrel * $.18 a gallon gas tax.

I make sure to use torrents with 1000s of seeders that way no one person is giving me more than a few seconds of acceptable use/review amounts.

Thanks to the spill this plant is self lubricating.
Hell, in the 70's many cars would set them selves on fire. "unsafe at any speed" I think was the line.
I thought it was because they did so without permission.
