I would share my google interview questions (some of them were pretty original and interesting), but unlike you I happen to remember they're confidential.
We get more and more strict rules about what we're allowed to do while driving (drinking, speeding, multitasking...)
This only leads to limits to our freedom while the only benefits are marginally lower fatalities in biased statistics designed with the purpose of presenting improvements.
I do a lot of work that is funded by the government, and that's the opposite to how it works. You have to budget for more than you think you'll need, because the government will never give you more than what was agreed on.
How hard can it be to make a budget plan and stick to it? Why are things costing more than estimated? Estimating costs is much easier than the science at work here.
There are only two possible outcomes: - either matter and antimatter annihilate each other and the universe is mostly void - either one eventually wins over the other, leaving majorly one in the universe and pockets of the other
Out of those two, one is clearly more likely to lead to intelligent life.
For Lightning Returns I gave you my personal opinion, which I think is more valuable than professional American reviews. When it comes to reviews, it's interesting to see that all Final Fantasy games are better received in Japan and in Europe.
FFXIII and its sequels aren't that fundamentally different from previous Final Fantasy titles. The fighting system is always a bit similar with some elements unique to the title, sequels are more mission based, and most titles take place in a world mixing magic and technology, as opposed to the classic sword & sorcery theme of most western RPGs. There are a lot of similarities with FFX, FFVIII and FFVII.
Tabs have variable sizes depending on editors and environment, so mixed tabs and spaces leads to disasters when people use slightly different setiings, and it's difficult tobenforce that people all use the same settings. It's better to just use spaces as this guarantees the code will look the same everywhere.
Disallowing tabs is simple to enforce, works with all editors, supports all coding standards and it allows the code to look the same in all text editors and environments.
So basically, it's japanese and it's not for casuals. What were you expecting? The Final Fantasy series have always featured complex systems and all Japanese games have grinding and farming elements.
There are more serious issues, but when I think about it all current MMOs have them as well. To me FFXIV is actually semi-decent precisely because it is a bit old school.

I usually do 10 to 20 commits per day when I'm fully dedicated to a project.
5 days a week, and they're 5 people, that's 5*5*(10 or 20) = 250 or 500.

You need $2,000+ just to have a decent computer to work with.
The fact it runs games is just a bonus.
I see why you're posting as an anonymous coward.
Don't want to tarnish your reputation by announcing you play a mediocre mainstream game?
Only in the USA were people still seriously considering it being a natural occurrence.
Just how much can you keep putting your head in the sand?

Are you implying that white men have better aspirations than living?
Dark Souls is played with a game controller, not a keyboard/mouse combo.
Looks like you're playing it wrong.

Plastic is not computer-specific, and is not required at all for a computer. Some popular laptops are even made of aluminium.
Silicon is not made from oil.

Individual shops favor social interaction.
Final Fantasy has never been about the story. It's about good fighting systems.
So it's a good game you mean? Why do you want something to point you where to go?
Crafting is supposed to be a fun mechanic.
The problem is that modern games are too much loot-based, rendering crafting and player creativity useless.
So basically, it's japanese and it's not for casuals. What were you expecting?
