    Hardware vendors, not carriers. That's the one thing Apple did right - cut one useless middleman out of the loop, the carriers. It's the carriers' modifications and general dickery that delays or prevents updates even further.

    Re: teaching children religion, I like to think of it this way: Ethics classes aren't taught by rapists, (most) children don't get introduced to drugs by delirious addicts, and people's first contact with religion shouldn't be a religious person.

    How thick are you? Evolution and creationism directly contradict each other, they are mutually exclusive - which is to say, only one of them can be true. "Agree to disagree" is absurd - it's impossible for two rational agents to disagree over a matter of fact.
    If someone considers mathematics and writing the work of the devil, should they be allowed to bring their children up without teaching them how to count, read or write?

    Yeah, how about drinking water instead of concentrated weapons-grade diabeetus juice? Why does government have to take responsibility for people who refuse to take personal responsibility? If you want to replace your blood with a mix of HFCS and cholesterole, I couldn't care any less until you expect me to pay your fucking health bill. Banning disgusting fast "food" and slimy drinks these people use won't do it, and neither will legislating 2 hours on the treadmill daily. But I guess a populist legislative response is easier than actually having people take responsibility for once in their lives.

    Dragon isn't scheduled to dock at the ISS until Friday.

    The Dragon isn't capable of docking, it has to be grappled by the station's robotic arm and berthed to a common berthing port. It is scheduled to receive an upgrade that enables it to use docking ports in the future, but on this flight, it's berthing, not docking.

    It'd probably cost Intel more to make a separate production line that fabs chips without onboard video, they wouldn't even be able to sell them cheaper than regular CPUs. And if you're not using it the onboard graphics capabilities, it's not drawing any extra power, so no improvement there either.
