    No, but sensor size is a factor in DOF, and DSLR's have bigger sensors. If you care about DOF, you get the the fastest prime lens and biggest sensor you can.

    Apple is already in the camera biz. The fastest growing camera on flickr is the iphone.

    Don't get me started on this.. their "new look" is straight out of the 90's. I switched back to the "old look" but now I am constantly nagged with popups to switch, and it's probably just a matter of time until the "old look" dissapears all together.

    And why would Hardware manufactures want to wast money time and resources to come up with different product models for each country if they can avoid it.

    Because they want to charge different prices in different regions, and prevent people from buying the product in a cheaper region.
