What purchases would you recommend for a first-time cooking enthusiast to outfit a kitchen? In terms of multi-purpose tools, books, pantry ingredients and other items, what are most useful, across-the-board?
I actually own a copy of this piece of crap. I found it in a discount bin at a Rainbow Foods store north of Minneapolis. For two bucks, I picked up a real Mystery Science Theater 3000 moment! (And that's what it's used for; pained laughter at crappy acting, awful writing and Rona Jaffe's fever-ridden brain spouting more social conspiracy theories than "JFK".) As it stands, I remember all those fears that AD&D was a "gateway drug" to the forces of Darkness... I even had to give a presentation to a board of directors at a local Middle School after they had attended a seminar on the Dangers of D&D and were worried that their students were going to start sprouting horns. The ironic part is that -years later- after being a Presbyterian Sunday School teacher for a year, being a good member of the Congregation, etc, I *did* find my path in Wicca. Go figure, eh?:) Oh, and just for the record, I'm also bisexual and LOVE the D-n-D cartoon! Woo-hoo!
Actually I didn't know about Linuxstart until today and it is a good looking site although many of it's links are either broken or lead to dead ends because of subsequent broken links.
