It's called boycotting and it works.

Not if you don't let them know you're boycotting. As another poster said, they'll blame the lost sales on other things. It might be better to buy copy protected CD's and then return them for a refund with an explanation that it didn't work, or that you didn't realize it was copy protected and you don't buy copy protected CD's (to ensure compatibility with future hardware purchases).

When you get home, you have to take time to record shows into your jukebox. For those of us with families, and other things happening, there simply isn't *time* to fuss with a TV gadget every day.

Y'know, the thing about recording is that you don't have to stay there while it happens. It's like when my wife says she didn't do some small thing because she's been doing laundry all day...... Huh? What do you do for the 45 minutes the laundry is in the dryer?

You simultaneously express the need for absolute freedom, then impose a limitation and follow that up with a statement that denies any basis for limitations.

Lots of pros are opting for single, multi-purpose lenses like a 28-300 zoom so that they don't have to lug around a bag full of lenses. There is some resistance to this among purists (or those who need specialized lenses like fast teles for sports or really long lenses for nature), but they'd reject this camera because it doesn't shoot film.

You might as well say that 'no professional photographer would be caught dead with a 35mm SLR because it doesn't shoot medium format.' It's certainly true for some, but not all.

Even more stupid. What if SCO wins on that point? Wouldn't that mean that they owe money to every hacker/company/whatever that ever tweaked a bit of Linux code that appears in their distro? And wouldn't they owe each of those entities money multiplied by the number of copies distributed (admittedly not much of a multiplier, but still...)? Now, what happens if each of those entities go, ala SCO, after damages above and beyond the actual value of the individual copies of the code distributed by SCO?
