Apple builds laptops for people with no pets, who vacuum daily or have a maid, who have a flat desk with no encumberances and who always work at that desk. This goes for Macbook Pro as well. It is not a laptop that is made to be taken anywhere with you but to another clean room in a clean bag.
There have been many issues brought forward in the Apple support forum that go nowhere unless the answer is., "yes I will download the third party software that fixes that basic issue with iOS". There are many long threads that go nowhere. Specifically about the keyboard problem.
I'm getting tires of hearing about new flaws to be worried about on my most expensive in class laptop after my most expensive in class support agreement ends.
If developers in Silicon Valley were doing well, they wouldn't have to cry about driving an hour into work and 20 hour coding crunches. They would make enough to live close to work and be given a humane working schedule.
Then why do we need all those highly skilled H-1Bs?? If US students are the most skilled in the world, then other countries should be begging for them. America should not be wanting for highly trained computer specialists.
In fact doesn't this undermine the whole H-1B concept?
Being so scared you are going to be hacked that you have to spend 2x on your device is quite a burden. How many actual Android phone/tablet attacks have there been in the wild?
I try to avoid buying USB-C devices because so many devices use regular USB-A. My most regular use for a flash drive is to transfer video to my TV; so maybe when TVs start getting USB-C then the devices will make more sense but right now USB-A is cheaper and more useful. It sucks to use a dongle all the time but thats what you get when you buy Apple.
That's pretty much what I was going to say. It seems these days unless you know the backer of the study it is difficult to really interpret what the numbers mean.
Here's the problem. One day I'll invite someone out to the cabin, which so far hasn't been a problem, and he's going to say "Oh I have an EV so I can't do that". I just think it's sad that people will willingly buy into such a limit of personal freedom.
Ours don't. They stop in front of a coffee shop on their route and keep going. Do go back to the depot would be a long trip for one break.
LEDs did not save energy globally, people just ended up using more of them.

Or just test a Thinkpad and duplicate that. It's not like making durable laptops is a mystery.

Companies do not treat these people well.
Ok so does AirPlay work with my brother in law's TV? I think it's an LG.
I thought not.

You can't compare different facets of computer science to different forms of cuisine. People spend their entire lives just learning one form.

Yes because apple is totally secure
Except they ruled that out in tests where they take the phone apart.

That risk is way overblown.
I've never had a hack so I'm not going to worry about it until it happens.

There are many games available for Android.
What? But cables aren't good for anything! Totally obsolete. I love the sound of Bluetooth compression.
I mean, technically if you're paying $200 more for an iPad so you can use one app that doesn't work on Android, you're paying $200 for that app.
Well if you're going to purchase iOS only apps then yeah you pay the Apple tax. You had better enjoy that app to make the total cost worth it.
Why, you keeping private documents on your tablet? What is the urgency for security on a tablet.
If I was shopping for a tablet I'd get the most storage for the least price. Usually that means not buying an Apple product.
