    People shouldn't have to use tools in new and imaginative ways. They should have tools that were made to do exactly what they want to do and use them. Those tools have mostly already been made.

    I just can't see ever using XCode on iOS. It's not actually using XCode that would be the issue, but switching between web browser, test app, etc would be a constant pain.

    How can Apple increase market share? If they had a removable battery, expandable memory, and allowed direct filesystem access, this geek may consider it.

    Some people still think dishonesty is a bad thing. I know a lot of people think if it's legal it should be allowed, but I personally don't like to see anyone being dishonest.

    I've tried to use chrome a few times over the years. I always run into websites that it is not quite compatible with. Combine that with the whole Google spying thing, I always come back to Firefox.

    I use firefox because it is the least shitty option. I hate it, but I hate internet explorer and chrome even more.

    If in 5 or 10 years the TV is still working fine but none of the services hard wired to them are around, then what do you do?

  14. Yeah but you have paid for the smart function, so by doing that you're essentially wasting money. Better to buy a TV without a smart function at a bit of a discount.

    That's unfortunate... because everyone can understand the intent of laws but only people with money for lawyers can work around the wording of them.

    I just want to know.... if I go out in the world and I run across the street, should I get a J-walking ticket?

    If the wording of the law matters more than the intent, then I should not because I was running not walking. Just a simple example, but I'm sure all kinds of laws could be avoided if you look closely at the wording.

    I'm still not quite sure why Uber is allowed to exist contrary to laws that so obviously intended make their business illegal but are allowed to slip between the wording. On the other hand, Pirate Bay is not technically illegal at all because it only tracks the pirated files and does not provided them directly, but yet the laws are being extended to apply to them. I guess the people with money are allowed to bend the law now and apply it how they see fit to the area they see fit and the rest of us will just be expected to live by it.

    The ushering in of the LCD screen has pretty much made every TV the same. I think manufacturers are partly counting on the 'smart' functions to draw people into the more expensive level.
