I don't think the series would work with Fry and Leela as a couple.
Probably not, and after the last episode it'd be very very sad if they were not a couple. You can just see the lame "Oh we were a couple but we broke up" thing...
Oh, I'm sure there's a lot more places the show could've gone. Totally.
But the show's too linear, I think. I dunno. It's not like I/wouldn't/ watch new ones and love them, I'm just happy with how it is now. And frankly I dont' trust Fox not to ruin it again! There were SO many episodes on the DVDs that I'd never seen despite my best efforts (ok, TiVO's best efforts).
Family Guy is a show that can just pick up wherever it dropped off. Futurama, I'm not sure. And I say this because (in my opinion) Futurama is a MUCH higher-quality show.
As cool as more Futurama episodes would be, I think the last episode was just perfect as a Last Episode. In fact, some of the almost-last episodes were so good that I just dont' think it could be anything but a step back.
as T-Mobile will unlock phones for free as long as a customer has been in good standing for three months
They will? Which T-Mobile are you talking about? I don't think we're using the same one.
I have to agree - the phone is terribly unimpressive.
It does, however, use external flash, so it could potentially have, uh. I dunno, 2gb? Still not impressive.
The point to this phone isn't really that it plays MP3s. There's other phones that do that. This one syncs with iTunes (slowly over USB1.1, hello?). Frankly I'm more than capable of transferring files between devices myself - especially when there's only 512MB to fill.
So yeah, dissapointing, but hardly surprising. It/is/ a Motorola phone. I've had a few of those, and have a V600 now. They all suck majorly. The RAZR, while very very nice looking, apparently suffers form all the same problems the V600 does, not the LEAST of being that it's SLOWER THAN ALL HECK.
LAst time I tried to print a photo on a colour laser printer, the results were... less than satisfactory.
Now, yeah, this was about 4 years ago and I didn't really have a lot of time to experiment. Are colour lasers good at printing photos now?
To this day, I still/love/ laser printers. I'm still amazed by how GOOD printoutsfrom them look. I'd/love/ to know that colour lasers are good photo printers!
(I have a high-quality inkjet for photos, and a Laserjet 4si for B&W text. I love that thing, 200lbs of printing monstrosity. The lights in thew house dim when it warms up).
It's One screw on my Toshiba laptop. Which I lost aaages ago. so now it's zero screws (:
I'm glad I got a 60GB drive when I bought my Powerbook. Sounds like it's really not worth the hassle of replacing the drve yourself unless you have to.
Honestly, it was cheaper to get a 160MB Firewire drive. Plus, uh. I don't know where the harddrive is on this Powerbook. Yeah, I can look it up, but it's not under any of the obviously removable trap-doors...
Ok, I'm going to go look it up now cause I'm curious (:
If I recall correctly, the drive inside the Mac Mini is a laptop (2.5") drive. Those aren't really known for great performance. I'd not be surprised if it's the same kind of drive they put in Powerbooks (a 4500RPM).
So... basically this article is saying that fast drives are faster than slow drives. Heck, if I want to do anything intensive on my Powerbook (like DV capture or heck, use GarageBand), I need to use an external firewire drive.
Maybe I should write an article about how my Powerbook is faster with a Firewire drive, too!
I dunno, I'd probably enjoy watching a bagel. Mmmmmmm, bagel.
The thing about Whedon I'd be worried about (were I a large film/tv studio) is that, while he can create quite a buzz and write really, really good shows, he doesn't seem to create mainstream appeal. As an individual I think that's great, but if all I wanted was to make money...
That's exactly what I'm afraid of.
I think you needed to put the flmae-suit on way before the Leela comment (;
Nope, sorry, that sounds like an swful idea to me. I don't want a spin-off. What I want is for them to not have cancelled it in the first place (:
Of course, a 2 second blurb at the begining of an episode is TOTALLY indicative of the content of the episode, right?...

Wow! Sun has never ever claimed anything like THIs before! /sarcasm
and no, I didn't do drugs there (apart from a few random joints and lots of alcohol).
So what you mean by "didn't do drugs" is that you did, in fact, do a lot of drugs?
If they had their way, everything would be text mode
You say that like it's a bad thing.

Great, cause motorola phones aren't slow enough now when all they're trying to do is DIAL.
I don't know about beer, but I've spilled SO many things down my OmniKey. Coke, milk, water, pizza, you name it. My cats used to sleep on it, too.
I eventually stoped using it because I needed an ergonomic keyboard.

Oh, is that why VMware isn't working now? I just got it working with 2.6.11.12. Oh well, I'll wait for the next any-any patch.
Yeah, I remember seeing that.

Point taken - not all 2.5" drives are slow.
Just that the one Apple tends to use, are.
I'd love to run hdparm on my powerbook, but I can't seem to find a copy for OS X (ok, I didn't look much beyond the Ports collection).

That'd be cool if it actually, well, worked, and the GUI didn't ignore drivers installed on the system...
(replying to myself) And USB would take forever to charge a phone, so it's not really useful to power a device.
Every single cellphone and PDA I've ever owned used USB. None of the phones came with a USB cable but the option was out there.
My current phone has a USB cable option, but it also has bluetooth, so I don't really need USB anymore... but it's there if I do.
Nasa reports: Water on Mars
Actually, Astronomy Picture of the Day do have a photo of water on Mars today.
Wow, a Your Rights Online issue that my mom cares about more than me!
Or she would if she knew about it.
