    Drop tokens get recreated after a timeout - no biggie.

    A broken ring is a problem but I believe most cards have a bypass and/or a way to reverse the token flow, so it takes 2 breaks to partition the network.

    In at least one jurisdiction (Nevada - NRS 193.330) any attempt to commit a crime is still a crime. There doesn't need to be any damages for a crime (just for civil), else how could they prosecute for drug possession and other victimless crimes where there are no damages.

    That's possibly safer.

    After all, the DMCA made a specific mandate for VCRs to support Macrovision, rather than it being assumed that all protection systems need to be supported by default.

    The DMCA itself might be able to be used to prove, by omission, that not supporting a protection system isn't illegal (else the Macrovision clause would be redundant) - one could say there was no legislative intent to make it illegal via the same reasoning.

    There is another clause saying things might have to support industry standard protection systems, but using JS as a protection system isn't an industry standard, and a good defendant will have the court wondering why if JS is being used to protect content, it isn't be used to "control access", as the site could have been coded where JS was needed to get the content (even a location.href call would've helped their case).

    Let's hope the judge knows what a website is though. :)

    One benefit of this would have been an elimination of the memory leaks that we hear to much about today, due to the garbage collection of SML.

    And have the browser lock up for minutes at a time to do the garbage collection.

    The 2nd "your" is correct.

    You both forgot the apostrophe in "it's".

    Don't start a sentence with "but", use "however".

    Offences is correct in British/Australian English. "Offence", "Licence", "Organise". Yes, Firefox complains about them, but they are correct.

    Had he got the right medical treatment, possibly pills, such as Prozac, he'd have been OK.
