If the GPL was so bad, how come BSD is behind Linux.
And the GPL only means you can't restrict redistribution of what was given to you freely. BSD lets you do that.
Imagine a private person being able to put a fence around the city park and arrest people for tresspassing.
The GPL stops the computer equivalent of that.
You want to freely use something but stop others. Hypocrite!
You can still make commercial software and hardware using Linux. I'm not going to elaborate further - this is obvious to anyone with even half a brain.
There is a GUI. It is called X. And KDE is the standard desktop. GNOME needs to fold into it. But even 2 main choices isn't huge.
And the Windows machine I use the most just randomly locks up for seconds or minutes sometimes at a time whenever it wants to. Linux might not be hard real-time capable, but Windows isn't even close - it can't run smoothly in low load desktop usage!
Why don't you try to write that ideal OS. Better yet, take your meds!
On a 3 hour flight, you will receive the equivalent of 60 TSA scans from atmospheric radiation due to altitude. On a 18 hour international flight, the equivalent of 360 scans.
Stay home or take the bus (or a boat).
Those of us who will still fly will appreciate the extra room on the planes and the lower fares.
If all the cancer paranoia were true, we'd all have cancer by age 10!
We are paying $4/gallon for gas, it isn't our fault people over there are poor, the countries are swimming in money, our own money, which is used to attack us.
We get robbed at the pump and killed by our own money.
We need to get an ethanol based society, dry up the terrorists funding.
When Steve Jobs decided to not support Flash on iPhones, Adobe said it will not longer develop Flash on any mobile platform, Apple or otherwise (e.g. Android).
Steve Jobs managed to make Flash on mobile essentially die, right before he did.
And even though he is dead, his little tantrum and bullshit about Flash being a battery hog has hurt Android.
Spread enough FUD and you don't need to worry about your competitors supporting something you won't or can't, the vendor will just quit, and now no one supports it so you win (and the people lose).
Flash had its problems, but it was opening up and getting better, and HTML 5 is not yet ready, and now there will be no way to play Flash games, etc on Android, since Adobe's abandonment means security holes won't get fixed and people will have to either remove it or get hacked.
IPv6 could lose support, now the The Flawless Almighty Apple (when will members of Steve Jobs cult wake up - the leader is dead!) has decreed it. Then we will all be stuck with NAT as ISPs revoke even dynamic routable IPs from customers.
A weapon won't help you steal something from someone who doesn't have it available to steal. How many people will have fuel left, considering many people are running on empty as is. How many people have communications equipment beyond a radio and cells phones and computer that do no good when the infrastructure is gone.
Though in the worst case, any person could be used as food and fuel (bio-diesel from body fat).
Once the rolling blackouts in Tokyo start, they'll find a way to get any and all undamaged reactors up and running, regulations and fears notwithstanding.
The FDA isn't yet to the point (I hope) where they'd rip it out of you or have you sentenced to years in prison for having an unapproved device implanted overseas.
Don't even need a private pilot license (which unfortunately requires one to be in very good health).
You can get a Sport Pilot license (unless you went for a 3rd class medical for a private pilot or above license and got denied) for half the cost and time of a PPL and only need a driver's license for medical certification.
Or you can fly an ultralight and have very little regulation and no license needed (training is strongly advised).
Ultralights (powered) have to weigh under 254 pounds, full speed horizontal flight maximum speed 55 knots, stall speed maximum 24 knots and 5 gallons fuel maximum, and can't fly over areas that are more than sparsely populated or in class A, B, C, or D airspace or in/above class E airspace for an airport. See 14 CFR 103 for details. (Unpowered is under 155 pounds.)
And if you find something interesting, you are right there already.
So essentially you wish to ELIMINATE the corporate veil.
California has almost done that. Wonder why people would rather incorporate in Nevada (which strongly respects the corporate veil) vs California? That, right there!
Trust 911 to Windows?
Someone's gonna die.
Just like the plane that crashed because the app for weight and balance (critical for safe flight) was attacked by malware.
In that case people did die!
Ok Bill Gates.
Try Flash media server and a whole bunch of Linux freeware server apps.
Are you retarded?

Civil service laws override at-will.
If your state has no civil service laws protecting free speech, your state is de-facto 3rd world and sucks totally.
What state was this, Alabama or something?
If you are so scared of radiation, DON'T FLY!

Well if you get your way we know what the next terrorist attack will be.

When people's very presence inside the USA is illegal, I don't think they are worried about car insurance!
If you are an atheist, you are a fool!
Once the rolling blackouts in Tokyo start, they'll find a way to get any and all undamaged reactors up and running, regulations and fears notwithstanding.
You could travel to Europe and get it implanted.
The FDA isn't yet to the point (I hope) where they'd rip it out of you or have you sentenced to years in prison for having an unapproved device implanted overseas.
A competitor could use this to make the other companies products seem deadly.
What about the PLANE CRASH caused by WINDOWS MALWARE!
They'll know you broke it and refuse the return or have you convicted of fraud!
Isn't the idea to replace the item with something LESS valuable?
Modeling clay is much more useful than an iPad. LOL!
Now if they replaced an Android with clay, that'd be a different story!
Poor diet and lack of exercise takes years.
Streptozotocin takes minutes.
hospitals usually don't treat and release people who "may die".
Unless they don't have enough insurance.
Luckily Obamacare will fix this, if the Supreme Court doesn't meddle with it!

Looks like Hans Reiser got Internet access!
Wonder when reiserfs 5 will be released?

Links to Wikipedia are lazy.
Make links to the real information. not to an i-cyclopedia.
So I can't blame the pesticides for why I get lost sometimes?
