  1. Re:Insolvent Company on Ubisoft's New DRM Cracked In One Day · · Score: 1

A business is concerned with profits, not vigilantism.

An ironic example of where this is reversed would be Diablo 2, where Blizzard released a patch only months ago. The ironic part, of course, is the issue with Starcraft 2 and (likely) Diablo 3.

still isn't included, and none of the add-ons that enable it are updated yet. I knew updating this soon was a bad idea.

  3. In Sweden... on Cablevision To Offer 101 Mbps Down, No Caps · · Score: 2, Insightful

...I have a 100/100 Mbps connection with no limits at a monthly cost of $21/month. That includes up to 1 GB of complementary web hosting (albeit with a crappy url) and some other small goodies. Seeing costs the like of ~$100/month just makes me laugh, really, since us Swedes paid about $25 for 100/100 Mbps connections ten years ago.

  4. Re:Waste of time. on Windows 7 Gaming Performance Tested · · Score: 2, Insightful

Operating systems are UIs; they are not intended to be performance boosters. Their task is to deliver the information that you need in a timely, neat and conclusive manner. As far as I hear, Windows 7 does this better than Vista as well as (at least when it comes to the neat part) XP.

Try thinking of it in terms of a human body: we're all pretty much the same, but with some differences in component performance. It all comes down to how the body is used and maintained.

Go ahead. Make a sex joke.

It's the less slick one, albeit still slick, with more of that white stuff than ever! Get their album now and listen to their latest hit: "Snow Snow Baby"! Give it up for Vanille Snow!
