I just revived and old T60 with a 32gb SSD and wheezy, it runs really good! It's only got 1GB of ram but it seems to be enough for the kind of things you do with a laptop.
I got one too for my kids this Christmas and they like it a lot. The games are very playable without a TV and just using the controller- kids like it but the press didn't. We used our old wii controllers for multiplay without any problems.
Yeah, I would be impressed if something came to light that worked that was the size and bulk of a couple of tanks. A sudden jump to something so small without the intermediate steps should fire off your BS detector.

If you run off and research all the areas you are deficient soon after it's not such a bad trait.
Can't relate to what you've experienced but as a tall white guy I have found that if I project an air of confidence people are more than willing to heap responsibility on me regardless of experience or credentials. I don't think the article is off the mark.
I find it rather funny that people are complaining about color rendition that people were paying quite a bit for not so long ago (ott lamp). When they stopped selling ketchup in cans and switched to glass people complained that the metallic taste was missing.
That's bunk. If deflation was accepted and was occurring at a normal rate, mortgages could be structured to accommodate it- like having a negative finance rate.
If you take the rather simplistic view that your food is the only source of vitamins in for your body that may be true- but I suspect that the trillions of gut bacteria in your body are capable of supplying non mineral nutrients even with a poor diet.
If you really care about your health go on a high fat/low carb diet. I've lost 45 pounds that way. Give up the Monsanto diet the government has been pushing on everyone...
Posting on Slashdot is impossible while you are riding a pink unicorn.
Actually they voluntarily gave up a portion of their pool to balance things and have dropped to around 30%
You forgot to mention that the merchant doesn't have any information that can be of use to hackers, other than your mailing address.

The old wii controllers work fine with the new system, so we were doing multiplayer without spending anything extra.

Writers aren't going to spend effort to create a well written book about subjects people aren't interested in.
Actually it looks kind of like 'Popular Science'... hard to imagine how anything on that site would be interesting to anybody.
Unless you are capable of rolling your own small fanless pcs are also ridiculously overpriced. Again not defending the WRT45G pricing :-)
That seems like a pretty bogus argument to me- if it were true you could buy 50mp medium format camera backs for 1000$. That is not the case.
I don't think the scientists did either- I think this was more of a 'fun' experiment to see what happens when you actualize the analogy.
Not that I agree with the price but the unit has eSata and USB ports- I assume you could add storage.
I am just dying to hook one of these up to my 1.5 mbs cable modem!
I heard they were only 30% algae....
Not to mention the thought that paying less for things + no sales tax has a risk associated with. Nothing is for free.

Except that vitamins are just 'fortifying' a unhealthy diet. What difference does it make if the vitamin is in the junk food or the pill?
Bacteria in your gut make vitamin K....

I haven't run the numbers personally but many people on a low carb diet find significant drops in cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure.
