    The difference is when you use signature on PIN card the credit card company will handle disputes like they would a normal credit card. They aren't just stealing the 2%.

  2. It is so easy to stay current now. Spend 10$ for an online video course and you are ahead of 9/10 of the people you are competing with.

  3. I think the whole 'into management' thing is backwards. If I am in a long meeting my mind wanders. I just don't care to put time or energy into interpersonal games. When I talk to people especially with bad connection or broken English my ears play tricks on me. But when I am programming 4 hours seems like a half hour and I can burn through stuff with a steady hum, better than I ever could when I was younger. It doesn't even feel like work.

  8. Lack of impulse control doesn't necessary mean lack of intelligence. There have been a host of genius never-do-wells over the centuries.

  9. I would assume 'Aisle filling' means morbid obesity, and it is two to one in the link I provided. Not sure why the need to explain something that just is.

  10. I would like there to be at least a small barrier to communicate with me so people will stop to think about what they are saying and if it is worth the effort to say it. Hive mind is pretty dystopian IMHO.

    That's called ripping the bandaid off. Firing people is bad for morale so why spread it around over time.

    With higher density you get better performance, so yeah it matters to most people

    Computers have just enabled increasing amount of complexity, in architecture, engineering and things like trading software or an HR system. If you ever wondered why stuff like medical insurance is so complicated is because computers have enabled the administration of something so complex.

    Who are you talking about, Native Americans or American Indians? I remember be lectured about 15 years ago by a American Indian that this was what they considered themselves. He was the Architect on a software team... I will let you figure out where he was originally from.
