  1. And we need SOPA or PIPA for.....? on What Happens To Your Files When a Cloud Service Shuts Down? · · Score: 1

This is EXACTLY why SOPA and PIPA had to be stopped! Thank the millions of observant and motivated people who campaigned against them and made the idiots in D.C. re-think the folly of those two measures. Yes, I'm sure there may be legitimate reasons for investigating and possibly prosecuting MU, but the entire service should not be shut down without warnng OR DUE PROCESS! This is what SOPA and PIPA would have made even easier! And sorry, Mr President, I do not have a better solution, but I don't need to have a secondary plan in place to know when the proposed plan stinks to high heaven! That is what we pay (DEARLY) for you and the Congress to do! DO NOT SHIRK YOUR JOB!

It's not the bad grammer, the bad spelling, or the misuse of words that scares me.......it is the loss of original, logical, and constructive thought that is becoming more rampant. Just peruse Facebook, television, or message boards (even /. ) and you can quickly find dozens of samples of these. It is amazing how fast people go off subject. The average attention span has dropped by leaps and bounds. We solve problems (real or imagined) by just forgetting them and moving on to the next problem, or creating the next problem. 5. Anything but "i" on The Case of Apple's Mystery Screw · · Score: 1

Just one more reason for me to continue with my "i" boycott. I buy NOTHING that comes from Apple. I use a Sansa Clip, a Compaq, a Dell, and a Samsung cell. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that the Apple products are fine peices of engineering, but Apple wants to engineer your wallet, also. Imagine how peeved you would be if your brand new Ford was engineered so that you could only go to a Ford dealer to have the oil changed because only Ford has the tools and the proper oil. And, yes, I'm afraid I still haven't broken my M$ addiction, though, so I guess I would have to tolerate a Ford that needs to be re-booted every 1000 miles and catches viruses. 7. This is not new on What Carriers Don't Want You To Know About Texting · · Score: 1

Landline telcos have been doing something similar for years! Look at your bill, you'll see a charge for "touch-tone" service. If you want to use pulse dial, that is free! The rip-off is, pulse dialing actually costs the telco more, since the pulses have to be converted to....TONES! This way, the digital switchgear can route your call. Conversion=cost! But you use tones and pay for it!
