I have become increasingly disappointed with Slashdot’s lack of good content. This particular story about quantum computing is actually a pretty good one, but they're becoming fewer and farther between. So, I’ve reached the point where I’m going to delete my Slashdot bookmark. Any suggestions for a good replacement tech news website?
What's the deal with these types of posts. I don't care about climate change, politics, or whether the science curriculum in some state is anti-evolutionary. If I want to read that type of news, there are thousands of other websites that I would visit. I come to slashdot for "News For Nerds, Stuff that Matters." Get back to the regularly scheduled programming already.
I agree with the myriad of posters that have suggested to leave age out of the hiring equation - itâ(TM)s just setting yourself up for a lawsuit. Hereâ(TM)s a novel idea... hire candidates based on their qualifications!
Do you think that 2600, as well as the defendants in the California case, are in danger of further prosecution. Specifically, Do you think monetary damages be sought?

... they should put "Student Driver" on the side of the cars. That would ensure that other drivers would be sufficiently wary.

If these guys in Anonymous have a tenth of common sense as they have hacking skills, they'll keep their mouths shut about specifics.
