I received the same type of email from Comcast. What pisses me off the most is the fact that I received it yesterday (11/28). Just two days before the service may be interrupted.
Personally, I'm not that worried. I don't think there are going to be any service interruptions (I'm crossing my fingers, anyway).
He's right. I'm running Mandrake 8.1 on one of my machines and the update tool will sometimes timeout when setting up a server. Mandrake definitely has some work to do........
I agree. I have Mandrake installed on a PC that I do all my daily work on. When I'm in a hacking mood (and when I have time), I use my Debian based machine.
I agree completely.....
Although, I used to buy the less expensive "generic" cases when building myself a new PC. The other day I actually purchased a "name brand" case and am extremely happy with it. It's much, much more quiet than my other cases.
As long as you have good components inside, you have a good PC.
I agree. I've been using their office suite for quite awhile now and hate to see it go. I feel it's far superior to StarOffice. StarOffice runs horribly slow. I've NEVER had a problem with Applixware.

I'm UNIX/Linux/Windows 2000 Admin (small network) and enjoy it VERY much! Don't discourage others from something just becuase you don't like it.
Nice, very nice.......I love it when people try to slam other people and end up looking stupid.
Hey, before you call someone an idiot, learn how to spell lose.......
I agree with reaper20. I think the contribution they could make to KDE would be great.
I agree completely. Plus, I know that one of the good things about Linux is "choice" but there are just too many different distributions out there.

Why does everyone say that Mandrake is based on Red Hat? It was based on Red Hat about 2 years ago. It's not Red Hat based anymore.
I agree completely!
SuSE has come so far over the past few years. With each new version, it gets easier and easier to install and configure.
I think it looks really good! Nice Job!

Did I read that right????? They're going to charge for updates? Did Microsoft move to North Carolina? Come on Red Hat, get with it!
