I think the idea is to secure a market share. For example if game companies used an emulator then you could run several game consoles from your system. However, if you invest in their console and have it physically in your living room you're more likely to only buy their games (or licenced games). I hope that makes some sense.
What is everyones obession with this place? I live in a really nice 2 bedroom in Menlo Park for $1500/month (total) with month to month rent. I have a nice job and I love the area. If you're paying too much it's your own fault. I used a service (BayRentals.net) to find my place, if you use the paper you have no hope.
My ONLY complaint would be the traffic.
Everyone needs to quit complaining, if you don't like it, fine, don't move here. If you're jealous, please stop bashing the area, it's petty and immature.
And yes, I did do well (and continue to) with my stock options. I took a chance and worked hard though, I deserve it. Grow up people.
Now when my wife makes me go fix the car I'll actually know whats not working, instead of randomly hitting parts with a wrench until a part breaks.
Depends on the error message...

Huh? I thought the path to the Dark Side was the quick and easy one, what's the point if I have to work for it?!?
