Well, I'm in Rome right now and 90% of the city is 300+ years old, with some buildings in continuous use well over 1000.
In the States, Hoover dam is getting close.
So yeah, 80 seems manageable if you are actually building things to last and not just random crap that gets people on a payroll.
If the judge believes he didn't know his parents wouldn't respawn, and that he was addicted to the game, why did he find him guilty?
Perhaps, it was a case of his opinion being based on something other than the evidence presented?
Either way, I don't think one can realistically blame the game, the guy must have already been insane to think real life would be like Halo.
"The team found that removing links that connect two nodes each with a large number of connections has a disproportionately large effect on a network's performance."
Did we need a researcher to perform experiments to figure this out?
Just because you can't help something doesn't mean a potential employer shouldn't be able to discriminate based on it. Some people are born crippled they are never going to get a job roofing. Some people are born piss-stupid, they are never going to get a job running the country. Errr . . .
Of course this doesn't mean I don't think these tests are a royal load of crap.
I think the reason for this is that the capsule attracts the immune cells first, and only later releases the chemical that signals a threat, see the abstract of the real article: http://www.nature.com/nmat/journal/vaop/ncurrent/abs/nmat2357.html
So by injecting the capsule early (and by using a very aggressive form of cancer) they are able to have a more dramatic result since the immune system cells are already present at the location in large numbers.

As to sending pictures something like this might be a solution
