You know, you could have always used your 1 year warranty if you didn't have a friend at Costco. Anyway, I've mountain biked with my iPod and have never seen the same issues you did in your car. Unless you were taking your car on the Paris-Drakkar, I think it is safe to say you got a lemon iPod.
No, they absolutely do not skip. The iPod doesn't play music from the hard drive. It plays music from its 32 MB buffer. I assume most (if not all) other hard drive music players operate in the same manner.
I agree with you. This is despicable. The next thing you know, they'll make a show about the mafia. It'll probably have a stupid name too like The Sopranos or something.
On the other hand, The Scene is a snore fest. I don't think we need to worry about many people watching it -- unless watching other people's IM conversations is far more exciting than I find it.
So, your support for the argument that people don't mind using the Web for rich applications is tax software which people might use for 2 weeks out of a year? People would suffer through almost any horrible interface for 2 weeks out of the year.
If they do, I hope it doesn't have a scroll wheel (as designed those things are murder on the finger) and I hope they don't ship it as default with their computer for all of the reasons outlined in the linked Slashdot article.
It sounds like half of the revisions (all of the user interface ones) were borrowed from the Mac client anyway.
All new queue-based user interface
Many options are now modifiable from the interface, including upload rate
Lots of other interface improvements
Extra stats are visible, for those who like it
Remembers what it was doing across restarts
Does any of that sound new to you as a Mac user? It doesn't to me. I would love to see a screenshot of the new Windows client just to see if I'm right or not. They don't have one on their site.
What are you guys talking about? I've got to see it!
Touché!
I suppose if you put the iPod into a paint shaker for about 20 minutes it would eventually "skip" once the buffer ran out of room.
Damn, there goes my idea of wearing a helmet while on a motorcycle!

So, did he return the PSP?
I love how the tour dates were only mentioned in the teaser.
What is crunk?

It's a redesign of the Google front page that emulates the Mac OS X Dock for the extra Google features like video and maps.
Have you ever tried the page down key?
For most users, 2 buttons is 1 too many.

It's a short!
Maybe they're thinking they'll eventually be bought by Gateway, just like eMachines was.
If they really wanted to recreate Batman in a Lego universe, they shouldn't have made the characters so articulated.
It's a silly little movie. The security is blown way out of proportion. Besides, it is not going to work.

Except that mini ITX motherboards are bigger than the Mac Mini case!
Do you find the $999 iBook outrageously expensive? Most people find it gorgeous, but not expensive.
I do believe that is the most insightful post on Slashdot ever!
