  1. Use proven management techniques on Motivating Your Co-Developers? · · Score: 1

First lets face the abvious. YOUR SCREWED. So now you have to take some action.

First you have to delegate new tasks. You tell your coworkerless that there has been an shift in the project and they are getting new tasks. Give them something meaningless and has nothing to do with the project to keep them occupied from noticing that you have taken on the tasks they failed to complete.

Now that they are off on a skycrane search, you complete the project completely under your control then had it to your manager. Don't tell him anything just let him belive whatever he want to believe.

Your coworkerless can remain clueless and continue to waste their time on the skycrane project.

Last step, MOVE ON to your next project and request a new set of coworkerless. Then just chuckle on your way home.

Agreed. I did the same thing with sendmail. I went further and set my firewall to block any access to the the port for smtp from any asian country except Japan. I have a few people there I know. I wonder if there is any list of IP block that list by country. I would like to allow only mail from servers whos IP are in the US only. Then the rest of the world can go to hell.

You can't say there is a contract unless you have something in writting. Hell, the idiot doesn't even have anything verbal, and that would be a task. If he is going to claim a contract with viewers, I think he is obligated to post it on their web site for everyone to read and review.

Then I bet we could find plenty of space where they have faulted on their side of the agreement, like producing quality shows. HA!

  7. Check out this company on Linux and Satellite Internet Services · · Score: 2

I have also been looking for a satelite based internet service for my Linux machine so my small network can get better than modem speeds. So far what everone has said is true. There is one company that I have talked to that will have linux drivers by the end of this month (real soon). Goto http://www.axxess.net/. They also mentioned that they are currently planning to have two-way satellite service by the end of the year. That sounds consistant with rumers from around the net that two-way satellite technology is currently in development.
