That page was published over 2 years ago during a MAJOR DDoS attack, pulling that quote out of context like that is largely misleading.

At the time, Undernet lost 7-9 servers I believe due to DDoS however, now I believe IRC in general is hitting new user counts by the day.

As long as kiddies packet, the certain will always remain 'Uncertain' however, not nearly as uncertain as you attempted to make it seem by linking to a 2.5 year old article.

    cheers.

It's not an official thing /. does, it's something the BitTorrent community does.

Because of this, posters kinda have to come to us, or we have to catch the post in time to make a bittorrent of it, and relay it to a /. editor to have them modify the comment to include a bittorrent, just coincedence the last two bittorrents have been of stuff hosted at AOL.

If you don't like the fact they do credit checks, than leave. I might be going on a limb here..but I'm guessing you *applied* for this job, now you aren't happy with their hiring process and you think you are special enough to change them?

This company wants you to be the director of a departemnt/employees yet you can't direct your own finances? not only can't you direct your finances, but you can't be a man and admit to having financial problems instead you are joining the crowd of "Hey my bad finances are my issue, not anyone elses." Do you whine when Best Buy won't give you a credit card without running credit?

That is only somewhat true... You can buy stolen items, and if you can *prove* you didn't know they were stolen, you can get away with it. IE, local gas station has a car for sale, if you buy it..then it's later found to be stolen, you aren't at fault (although you do have to give the car back) and then you can sue the gas station and win.
